    It's definitely MUCH better, runs are down, but I still think I'm getting way too many hits. Both the me and the AI are averaging 12-17 hits a game, which IMO is too much. But if it's the only way to get a good 5-2 or 4-1 game, I'll take it.

      maybe try turning your skill down to about 80 or 70's maybe that will lower the hits

        Hey guys since the patch have any of you tried to play on ALL-STAR default?? Because they changed this game drastically with this patch without a doubt. I have played about 7 games since the patch on default all-star because I wanted to see if anything has changed to the base gameplay and what I have found is a completly different game then pre-patch. This game plays great now just on all-star default. There are some things that need to be tweaked but the HRs are way down especially for the CPU and also the hit variety is insane. Give it a try and tell me what you think. The changes I made are below, now I'm not saying I'm giving up on my own sliders because I'm not but this is interesting. Here are the changes I have made.

        ALL-STAR Default besides:

        ALL #'s are from 0 all the way left
        Total Control Pitching - 85
        Pitch Speed - 60
        AI Throw Strike Overall - 10
        AI Throw Strike Ahead - 10
        AI Throw Strike Behind - 10

          Hey Dan,
          I've been kinda following different slider sets,and I wanted to pose a question for ya.
          I've noticed in most set's,that "pitcher difficulty"....the ability to hit better pitchers,is usually cranked up. I can't remember where you have your's set though....but what I'm getting at,is with that slider cranked up,could this be why pitchers don't throw alot of balls?
          I've been experimenting with this,and it seems that I can get a fair amout of walks due to this slider hovering around the 50 -55 mark.

          I played a game the other night against the Padres, where I drew 10 walks,now granted,this was with their #3 man in the rotation,but I'm beginning to think this slider has alot to do with the amount of balls thrown.

          In that game Pierre walked 3 times alone. This was with the pitcher difficulty around 50,and the a.i. corner at 75 (iirc).
          I'm not saying you should change anything....I was just wondering if you've noticed anything like this also.

              I just played my first game with allstar default + the few changes and it was a pretty good game...

              OAK 4 11 1
              TOR 2 11 0

              Good amount of k's on both sides...not enough walks but that's only because I still hack too much...there were hits down the line, slow choppers, two sac flies...the cpu batters swing less as well although I still feel like it's a bit too much...they still made too many diving plays and didn't drop any but that can be adjusted...the cpu even tried to steal on me although it was FRANK THOMAS in the eighth in a 2-2 tie which was a bit lame...

                  I have tested pitcher difficulty between 50 and 75 and what I have seen is the higher you go with this slider the more pronounced the movement is on AI pitches. Its very noticeable on sliders and curveballs. Try putting it up to 100 and you will really see what I mean. The movement sometimes looks like bugs bunny is pitching.

                    LOL sportgamer is always on the ball, I dont know about a total redesign but I do feel that there is going to have to be some big changes because this game is completely different post patch in some areas. Such as Reaction speeds, Human and AI power, AI throwing and taking strikes and balls. So this is all going to have to be all looked at some more ...AGAIN

                      Prince, I think you might be stuck with my last update because the patch has really changed things. Now when I get a new update of these sliders out that will be post patch, you can try them out and tell me things that you are seeing that might be out of wack and I could help you make some changes do to remembering all the testing that I did on these sliders pre patch.

                          This worked well. I had some really good close games last night with both Human and AI skill at 75. Averaged about 9 hits through 4 games, which is perfect (for me at least). Still seeing a lot of HRs. Not so much on the cpu end (which is awesome) but on the Human end. It's not so much I hit too many HRs, it's just I tend to score all or most of my runs off of the HR. So I think I'll just go ahead and edit my players attributes, lowering every players power by 5-10 clicks.

                            So played a game with the new set. It was pretty good - I scored 3 in the second and it was 3-1 until the sixth or seventh when I went off and scored six runs. I ended up winning 9-2. I saw a stolen base attempt by Felipe Lopez, so that's encouraging. I saw too many triples though. I had one with Kelly Johnson, one with Matt Diaz, and two with Mark Kotsay. I think one other player had one, but I can't remember who. I only hit one hr, a two run shot with chipper. Now the 9 runs isn't too much a concern because I was the Braves against the Nationals, and they're pitchers were Odalis Perez, Saul Rivera, Ray King, and Luis Ayala. Not exactly Johan Santana there.

                              Okay guys I'm back with a newly updated set. The patch has affected some areas so changes had to be made. One nice thing I am seeing is the AI stealing. Last night I was the White Sox vs the Twins, I was leading 2-1 top 8. I walk Carlos Gomez to start the inning and on the second pitch he takes off and steals second and ends coming home to tie the game on a double down the 1st base line. Now that was nice to see, the AI stealing in a spot that it should with a player that should be doing it and not Frank Thomas or someone. Well anyway these have been playing pretty good, we may need a few tweaks here or there but I think you will enjoy them. Let me know.
