I've been messing around with the different sets, getting ready to start a franchise. I wonder if it's actually possible to walk a CPU hitter on your sliders? I've heard that steals are possible and a real part of the game with your sliders, but a gamebreaker is when I can just paint every pitch right where I want it.

I obviously don't expect to walk many with Verlander/Halladay, etc - but can I expect decent walk totals? I know I'll be able to walk at the plate, but this is a big thing to me. Other than that, the few innings I've played here lead me to believe I'll be starting my chise tonight.

Please give me some feedback on our user pitchers walking CPU hitters. If there isn't any chance I need to keep testing.

The AI hitting agression is broke so there are no sliders that will get you more walks then the other but I do walk guys but it's when I throw out of the zone although I do get looking k's.

It;s the patch and the patch only that will help with walks and that will be in a few weeks and you might have to restart your franchise to get the patch to work.

So again SF..I ask...Do you use the left stick at all with power at 100? Just wandering..because I haven't touched it at all... I use total control hitting and do not use left, and have not even came close to hitting a HR in 3 games. Of course I am using the royals...but still in 3 games someone would at least get close...other than that I'm liking these as a base set... I am very patient, and don't use quick judgement when it comes to sliders...I am in a 20 game test franchise now.. just wanted peoples take on what they were doing with the left stick and what they were getting as a result...Thanks everyone!

I had been using a set I found that advertised "Better Gameplay but can still unlock cards" - I've wondered if in your travels you have figured out the way that he can advertise this (and it works, suprisingly).

Not a big deal to me, I see the cards as meaningless, they are only 4 of the 50 achievements, but I do like achievements for my crappy gamerscore.

I had been using a set I found that advertised "Better Gameplay but can still unlock cards" - I've wondered if in your travels you have figured out the way that he can advertise this (and it works, suprisingly).

Not a big deal to me, I see the cards as meaningless, they are only 4 of the 50 achievements, but I do like achievements for my crappy gamerscore.

No, cards are totally not important to me. If I want to do the card achievements I can always do a top 25 pick fantasy draft, then trade players once I achieve their card to get other players.

I'll be honest. I just started playing again last night but was heavily into 2k8. I'll use the default Detroit team, only putting who I want to get rid of on the trading block. I'm using a roster where Porcello is accurate at 78.

I'll report back after every game, and I'll play at least 2 series throughout the night. I'll turn my TV when posting stats so I can give you statistics for every single thing they'll allow.

Hope that will help give you more of a base data on v5 - but from the short bit I played I love what I saw. Just seemed like there would be no way I could actually throw ball 4 without INTENDING to. Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm long-winded, my apologies. Thanks again. Stats upcoming. (Only difference is I use batter camera 5/5 and I use the hitters eye).

EDIT: I am also only going to use the right stick to swing, I will not be implementing the left stick to alter the trajectory, as I believe you've suggested.)

I'm using your sliders and I never get extra base hits except for the occasional homer. How do I increase doubles/triples? It seems like none of my hits get by the AI outfield and never reach the wall and vice versa (comp. gets nothing by my outfielders)
