I'd imagine that the CPU hitting sliders would be very important here. I use MK's, which are really tough. With these run and throw speeds the CPU batting will have to come down, but with anything lower than MK's CPU hitting sliders the CPU doesn't hit against me. Are you giving up a reasonable amount of runs with the 50/65 setting?

1. The OF/IF were not as slow as I thought they would be.
2. I did see a couple of different animations that I did not see through 91 games. I also did notice that the players do move smoother and the animations didnt seem rushed as they do when they move faster.
I would of never believed this, nice job!
Also at this speed I believe adjusting the defensive alignment is more important, which is what I like the most about these changes.Last edited by The Bimmer; 07-10-2011, 01:35 PM.Comment

Agree 100%! To my surprise these work great. 2 things that I noticed
1. The OF/IF were not as slow as I thought they would be.
2. I did see a couple of different animations that I did not see through 91 games. I also did notice that the players do move smoother and the animations didnt seem rushed as they do when they move faster.

But having those speeds at 20 makes it default. On default the speed makes the players stutter it seems. It's not as smooth etc.
I'm curious to what mkmarsh thinks about this after he tries it out.Twitch

I haven't tried these yet. I had some studying for work I had to get done last night (and my kids had the TV most of the day). After church today I spent the day with my wife, hanging out at Barnes/Noble and a bite to eat. I'm hopeful to plug these numbers in tonight (late) and see what happens. I'll admit I'm a bit skeptic...
Here's the fear I have (personally): when I lower cpu power down to 75 the game becomes too easy. But I fear that leaving the cpu batting power at 80 that I'll never get to ground balls or balls in the gaps and it could turn into a nightmare. I'll withhold judgment until I play, but I'll admit that it's hard for me to want to change sliders this late in the game (pardon the pun).STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Those #'s would fall in line with what was done to speed after the patch. (40 default base running)
OF throw speed @70 also is a good #. I've found too many base runners scoring from 2nd on singles with mine set @65.
As for base running speed I have it set to 30 & really like that #.
Thanks for testing this. Will give it go for a few & see how it goes

Interesting Joe, because I was thinking if I adjusted anything it would be the speed to 30 at you pointed out. The game played real well at 35 speed, so I will go my usual 7-10 games before I change it.Comment

I don't know about this--just played 2 games and had CPU Konerko hit a triple, and saw outfielders really struggling to get to balls in the gap.
I think this is why most people had the fielder speeds over 30/35--outfielders cannot get to shots in the gap and you'll give up way too many hits if you play with high AI contact and power. And then gap shots that should be doubles, turn into triples. This is why the 20 fielder speed was always bumped, and why I can't play on 20.
Jury still out on the infield.Comment

Sorry, but I don't think these will work for me. My cpu batting sliders are higher than most all other slider creators. I just played today's Cubs (cpu) at Pirates (me) matchup. I lost 7-0. I don't have a problem losing, But the Cubs had 17 hits against me. 2 doubles and 3 triples, and 2 of the triples were by Aramis Ramirez - whom in my rosters has a 59 speed rating.
I saw more bloops but they felt cheap. The arm strength feels (to me) a bit arcadish...balls thrown from outfielders just look too fast. Josh Harrison (with 79 speed in my roster file) had 2 balls just blow past him that looked really odd, and seemed like he should have had them.
I appreciate your work on these, but I think I'm going to stick with my sliders. Thanks, though!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS
