One question mk, are you seeing the cpu swing at pitches out of the zone? I'm thinking i get them to go after smt maybe like 3 times a game. I'm not sure if that would be editable thru sliders or what, but it's just smt that i noticed

I pitch outside the zone a lot, so yeah, I'm seeing this. But if you're not, I guess you could lower cpu batting contact by 5 and see what results you get. I'm very happy with the set on page 1 - post 1, so I see no more changes forthcoming (until they screw everything up with a patch - LOL!).STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
I use the ones on the first page too, and i really like them, having great games! But i was only wondering because i use the catchers advice or whatever it's called so about 1/3 of my pitches would be balls. And i would get so many pitches right on the corner or smt and they wouldn't swing and it would be a ball. It was just frustrating haha bc i thought it was a perfect pitch. But thanks for the hard work, these are really making the game fun for meNFL - Minnesota Vikings

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
To clarify the catcher suggestion...
I use the PITCH they suggest, but I do not put in the LOCATION they suggest. I only do this to keep me from using the same pitch repetitively. Plus, it adds a sense of realism, as a catcher will call the game for the pitcher (just like in a real MLB game). Maybe 2 or 3 times during the game I'll use a different pitch than what is called for, but it's very rare.
So I am getting strikes outside the zone because I deliberately throw them there.....and they WILL swing at them.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
Love these sliders - Gives a realistic game that forces you to make wise decisions as to pitch placement, etc. If you spam the same pitch over and over the ai will take you to the gaps or out of the park. Also forces you to be a better batter. If you are not patient then you can plan on striking out lots. Just saved a game that went into extra-innings with a 1-1 tie; will finish later. Keep up the good work mkand thanks. Something I just noticed, when pitching the color of the bubble of the pitch type changes. I think that's to let you know you might be throwing the same pitch to often? I've only had it go to yellow but I'm assuming it will advance to red?

mkharsh - have you started a franchise yet? I'm using the Pirates and want games to be fun and competetive but don't want to get rocked every game. Just wondering if these will be good in the long haul.Comment

Starting using your sliders last night, fantasy franchise using the Marlins. So far, they are excellent, currently losing 4-1 in the 7th to the Cards. F.Hernandez started and had one bad inning, otherwise he has 6 K's and has walked 1. Facing Lester and I have 2 walks, a few sharp singles and 1 Ichiro double. Very realistic feel to the game, thanks again!Comment

A few observations:
1) CPU power is too high. It affects triple and deep gap shots. CPU is averaging a 2-3 per game. Also they average 2-3 hrs a game. 70 seems solid for CPU power.
2) outfield throwing power at 60 is too high. Through testing 40-50 seems good. Ben revere (30 arm rating) gunned me out at 2nd from the 400ft mark at comerica...on a frozen rope.
3) user power seems too low. Not enough 2b, 3b, or hr's. I'm homeless through about 10 games. 70 user power seems right to me.
4) CPU stolen base agg. May need to be at 50 or below. I see 3-5 attempts per game. A lot are head scratchers and come from non base stealers.
Of course this may just be me so let me know if you're seeing different.Comment

2) I think outfield throwing power might be a little high across the board but I am seeing enough triples and doubles it doesn't matter.
3)If any thing I was thinking of lowering user power. I have hit 40 hrs in my 20 games but I have a powerful lineup. I have 40 hrs and 40 doubles + triples in my 732 at bats. I have scored 99 runs in 20 games. I have a .275 team average which I love because I am usually around .325 in baseball games.
4) I see about 1-2 sb attempts per game usually when the CPU is behind and trying to make something happen.

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K12 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching
I am not changing the slider set on page 1. If you have issues with what you are seeing, use common sense and make your adjustments. I often wonder if people want a vanilla/bland type of slider set that provides them with predictable results... As nbman stated - no two games are alike with this set. Sometimes I've found a lower-tiered pitcher have a successful outing, and I've seen great pitchers struggle. It happens...and that's what I LOVE about this. Also, take a starter too long into the game, and this set will punish you. USE YOUR BULLPEN... Think like a manager...STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

He provided this insight from some testing he did...it was the best number based upon his results. I don't know what post it was, but I'm not searching for that...you can if you'd like.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS
