I don't know if anyone else has had this happen yet since the outfielder throw speed change but last night Freddy Freeman got thrown out at first on a line drive to right field by Mike Stanton. I had to laugh. I didnt even think the computer would attempt that.

Im not saying this is a problem really. Freddy is pretty slow and Stanton has a gun. I suppose it could have happened.

I've gotten thrown out three times from right on what should have been a single but I say it balances out and keeps my team average at about .272 where it should be.

MK, can I post your slider settings on 2kshare for ps3 users?
Obviously they will be listed as being yours, named yours and mentioned as seen on OS?

I played 2 games last night before heading to bed. I lost 10-3 in the first game. 2nd game I won 5-4.

Here's what you guys need to bear in mind with regard to user pitching: change up your PITCH SPEEDS. I know the inside of the circle will say "weak" but last night I really experimented with changing up pitch speeds. WOW!!!!! I saw more weakly hit ground balls in ONE game than I had seen in probably my last 20 combined. Now, there is a risk/reward to this... Be careful to WHOM you do this to, but this slider set is just unbelievable (even with the flaws and glitches in this game).

I'm also going to now experiment with the camera angles that Tomba (and the ones I saw at some 2K Share link) provided. But I will not add those to the sliders because I believe they are highly personal to what you like for presentation.

Sorry to do this, but I've made some SLIGHT adjustments on page 1 - post 1 (Friday, March 23rd, at 3:45 pm). Nothing drastic...

- raised both user and cpu INFIELD RUN SPEED to 20 (from 15) ... this should help with some bad base hits getting through that shouldn't and also help your infielders make better routine plays. I'm still pissed that they have this "hitch" in their throw, and last night it caused me TWO blown double plays. That's not a slider issue, but a game issue.

- Under CPU RUNNING GAME made these 3 updates:

AI Base Running Aggression: 60 - lowered by 5
AI Steal Aggression: 55 - lowered by 5 (saw some dumb attempts)
AI Catcher Arm Accuracy: 50 - raised by 5 (with a 4 click lead, steals were becoming too easy)

HUGE FINDING - NEW UPDATES on Page 1 - Post 1!

CAMERA SETTINGS are EVERYTHING when playing defense in this game!!! Based upon my testing today, I've updated some settings that will really make this game come to life. Check out page 1 - Post 1 for my latest sliders. Camera Settings provided there!!

Be sure, after you have played your game to completion, that you SAVE your PROFILE, SETTINGS and SLIDERS to be certain they will save when you play your next game.

I just finished playing a 16 inning game that I lost 5-4. Braves (me) at Mets (cpu). I took a 3-0 lead in the first inning off a 3 run homer by Uggla. Mets pulled to 3-2 in the 7th inning and then tied it at 3 in the 8th. I took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 14th but Kimbrel blew the save. Mets won it in the bottom of the 16th with a walk-off single.

Game has now really come to life for me... LOVE IT!!

Once again mkharsh, great job on the sliders. Would you say that these are close to being final? Obviously any future patches/title updates could change them down the road.

I've played several more games since my last post in this thread. Most notably I've played the Astros twice, both against their pitcher Norris for comparison purposes. As the Braves, Norris dominated me and threw a complete game shutout as the Astros won 8-0. Next I played as the Nationals and I had more success against Norris. I won 3-0 and threw a complete game shutout myself with Zimmermann. So basically, these sliders have made the game a lot more fun thus far. The games have good variation and they are much more realistic and fun to play. Thanks to mkharsh

Did some testing in regards to my problems with power. Maybe it's just placebo but it seems like L-Stick aiming has a HUGE impact on power. I tested 3 games with MLB today of the Tigers (me) v Phillies (CPU)

1st (w/L-Stick Aiming): 6 Hr's...3 from sub 70 power (including 1 sub 50 power in austin jackson) and then 3 from the usual suspects cabrera and fielder.

2nd (w/o Aiming): 2 HR's...1 from cabrera and 1 from fielder

3rd (w/L-Stick Aiming): 5 HR's 3 from cabrera and fielder and then 3 from sub 70 again

All the games were the same, against the same pitchers. I just hit "rematch" each time. This was done with everything set to MK's sliders with no tweaks. I would love to know if other people are getting similar results with L-Stick aiming because it really makes power come alive...

I'm inclined to agree with you DS. I've noticed that when I'm sitting on something middle in, and I'm "pulling" with the L-Stick, I tend to hit some monster shots. Not that I don't hit HR's without the L-Stick, as you showed in your small test. But I definitely think directing the hit, plays into your power potential.

I just got this last week, so, I'm still getting in enough playtime to make any real commentary on the game thus far though.

I never use the L-Stick to aim...never have. I'm not a fan of that...just like to time it up based upon my awareness of the pitch type, where it's being located, and my ability to pull it or slap it to opposite field based on timing. so I've done NO testing with the L-Stick at any time. Thanks for the finding.

also, it should be noted that I use Pitcher 3 camera - NOT "broadcast" any longer. Noted on page 1 - post 1.

That's my preferred method too MK. I've just been fooling around using the L-Stick to see if it had any drastic effect on things (I do use it to aim "up" for some sac flies every now and again though). But, generally, I try to just hit the button to swing, and leave the stick alone. One less thing for my brain the think about anyways :P

I just got no hit by Kevin Slowey(72 OVR) of the Indians and lost 11-0 with the Blue Jays. Absolutely ridiculous.
