I defected from MVP to 2K5 because as always, it is near impossible for me to score more than 2 runs in MVP (and that's on Pro level). So far I tried your sliders on All Star and have had variable results. One game was a 10-3 Pirates victory agains the Padres, and right afterwards I lost 3-0.
My only concern (aside from the wild pitches) is too many home runs compared to singles/doubles leading to RBIs. I'm hoping I can find a way to fix this.
I would like a way, too. There really isn't a real way to do it... because the CPU doesn't advance enough hitters in a game (or they don't get more than one runner on in an inning). I mean, you'll see the singles, you'll see the doubles, but more than likely, if you're not walking them, they won't get on base enough to see that run scoring singles and doubles.

hey blzer, i have been using your sliders and i like them. the only thing i have noticed is my pitchers seem to get tired around the 5th-6th inning even though they are throwing a shutout! and have only thrown 50-60 pitches. also havent seen to many passed balls as others have seen, maybe one or two a game. as far as the computer battiing i have noticed when they get a hit to the wall sometimes they dont go to second when they should. dont know if that can be fixed or not. overall keep up the good work and keep tweaking the sliders as i do appreciate yours and everybodys work.

Don't know what I can do about CPU not running to second, Aggressiveness is on 88. I guess you should bump it up some more. If you're just getting to the ball too quickly, I'd suggest that you lower the Fielder Speed slider (yes, I know... lowering it from 28 is a bit harsh).

As for fatigue, well, that is purposely done because, if I lower the fatigue slider, your ace will still have half a tank after 8 innings. So, I need to find some combination in between. It doens't matter if your stamina is all the way down while you're pitching, you're probably not going to get injured... it's just faster is all.

BTW, do your pitchers have a lot of confidence? If so, that's possibly why you're throwing shutouts. If they don't have much confidence, you'll probably throw more mistake pitches, leading into them catching onto it and hammering it. If they're not, increase the AI SlamZone Power. I've came to realize that this slider still matters even with SlamZone off... this and AI SlamZone Probability determines whether or not 1) they're "Batter's Guess" will be closer to your pitch and more often, and 2) how hard they will hit it each time.

Like I said before, I may start trying another pitching style, as K-Zone isn't the exact answer. I mean, it's fun, no doubt... but I'm just not sure if that's what we're looking for exactly. I really wish that there was a foul ball slider, that would greatly increase the pitch counts.

By the way, how many strikeouts are you getting? How many called strikes are you getting versus swinging strikes? Just make sure that you take all of those into account while you're playing. If they're striking out a lot by swinging and missing, raise the AI Contact slider, and also raise the AI Take Strike Overall slider (along with the other two). Vice versa for the other scenario... if they're just taking too many pitches, but making contact most of the times that they swing, lower the AI Contact slider and the AI Take Strike Overall slider.

Again, you don't have to have my sliders exactly... I'm still doubting my sliders in terms of pitching. It's okay, it's early. It took me 3 months until I perfected my ESPN Major League Baseball sliders. And I mean I flat out PERFECTED them. I did not change them once since I perfected them. I posted them on here and on the 2K Sports message boards, and everybody flat out loved them. I hope in another 11 weeks, I can end up doing the same thing all over again.

Re: Blzer's Pro sliders: One-button swinging Ver 2.0

just wanted to comment on your sliders since I have tested them for about 3 games so far. I had to change pitcher fatigue because my first game my pitcher was out of stamina after 1.2 innings. So that definently had to be changed. Even with a massive lead off I couldn't steal well with Alex Sanchez so I had to up runner speed and steal success a bit. I also lowered the speed of pitching interface just out of personal preference. As I get used to it I will probably slowly up it back to 98 or whatever it was supposed to be at. I lowever computer power just a tad because they were opening up with back to back homers in a game and I was pitching to cold spots on target. Also a few adjustments to fielder speed, but not much. I have been able to draw plenty of walks. Also I get intentionally walked when I have a man on 2nd with 3, 4, or 5 up to bat, so thats cool (pretty realistic). Lots of sac bunts for computer. Computer pitcher very smart, if it sees I am swinging at alot of first pitches it starts off with balls until I take. Passed balls still a problem (but I dont think this can be fixed). Also I won one of my games because it was in the bottom of the 8th, and the closer was brought in because I had bases loaded. Because of the pressure of the situation Joe Nathan walked 3 straight batters of mine to put my up by one before finally throwing strikes and making me hit into a force out. Sorry its long, just wanted to give a good critique of the sliders.

That's good, thank you for your response to my sliders.

Again, you can change whatever, and you can report it. Don't feel like you're bashing my sliders, even if you are. Those are sliders out of my peronal preference, and last year everybody else seemed to think so. This year is more of a mixed bag because of the K-Zone pitching, however... this leads to things such as fatigue problems, walk problems, and mistake pitch problems... it changes everything.

I'm happy to hear what you say... I only lowered baserunning speed because I was beating out a few infield singles on those dribblers, yet I raised stealing success. I'm stealing just fine with Jimenez, Robinson (my created player), Griffey, Freel, and Randa. I guess it's just my jump. I don't know why, but I haven't been able to steal well using BaseBurner mode. It's like for some reason my guys don't get a big enough jump.

I must say these are some great sliders...just finished a great 7-5 game against ATL with STL. It was real nice to see the cpu steal second and third on me in the 9th with the game on the line...was way late on the throw cause i was in shock...haha

Now if I can only disipline myself not to swing at every pitch like I could in MVP...haha

                        Keep up the good work!

                            wow pretty cool sliders.

I kept it Kzone on. I like it better

I also didn't change the pitching speed to 100 (since I'm still fairly new I changed it to 50 and so far it's just right at my skill level, maybe as I play more i'll increase it)

However, the pitcher fatigue is a bit off on the human side. My pitcher was really tired at the top of the 4th. I adjusted it, but haven't tested it out yet.

Other than that, I'm pleased, and just wanted to say thanks.

I also finally experienced the wild pitches. It seems to happen when you are on away games, and there's a batter on 1st. This is a huge letdown. I've seen other bugs, but those are cosmetics, this kills the gameplay. I hope there's a fix.

Other than that, I'm pleased, and just wanted to say thanks.

I also finally experienced the wild pitches. It seems to happen when you are on away games, and there's a batter on 1st. This is a huge letdown. I've seen other bugs, but those are cosmetics, this kills the gameplay. I hope there's a fix.

got a question about the one swing slider adjustments. I've also been tooling around with sliders in the same area (was happy when i read this thread and noticed my sldiers were in the neighborhood, so we're doing something right i guess, lol ) but here's the question.

If i use one button swing, what about the AI? Obviously i could tune their sliders to using two button mode, but that's just kind of defeats the purpose in a way. I'll still be having the AI try two different modes of hitting which i wish was unavoidable. There's really no way around this i guess, right?
