Re: Blzer's Pro sliders: One-button swinging Ver 2.0

got a question about the one swing slider adjustments. I've also been tooling around with sliders in the same area (was happy when i read this thread and noticed my sldiers were in the neighborhood, so we're doing something right i guess, lol ) but here's the question.

If i use one button swing, what about the AI? Obviously i could tune their sliders to using two button mode, but that's just kind of defeats the purpose in a way. I'll still be having the AI try two different modes of hitting which i wish was unavoidable. There's really no way around this i guess, right?

They swing both power and contact. Overall, I'm getting fine results with the sliders that I have, regardless of how they swing. It's okay, really.

There is no way around it, but it's okay.

well, the thing i notice is this. If i'm ahead say by one run in the 9th, the pc will swing for the fences. Now this really isn't a h uge problem, but to keep the power realistic with the contact button, the power is up a little higher than usual. The problem is, if the pc is swinging for the fences, they are increasing the probability of a HR while im purposely trying not to.

i'm wondering if there is a difference between starting out on pro vs all-star and then setting sliders?

when you talk about one - button mode is there a way to turn off the "power" button or do you just not use it?

i'm just wondering how everyone is making out with cpu stealing bases, are you able to throw them out when they run or are they safe most of the time, i've had them run on me in the few games i've played and seem to have a hard time throwing them out but maybe i'm just to slow on the draw, wish i could access those greyed out throwing sliders

Okay, so it seems as though there may be a passed ball fix, one that I haven't tried yet. So, I guess I will post my same sliders again, but with the fix.

                              First, things to note:

                              - Do not... and I repeat... DO NOT advance on wild pitches.
                              - Usually take until you get a strike. A good approach to get your walks, and to even possibly get a pitch you like. You may strike out more, but I doubt you guys strikeout enough anyway.
                              - Not meant for regular use (or any use at all) of the Power swing.
                              - You want balls pitched? Paint corners, use effort. Your ace won't throw as many for many reasons. If your confidence is low, be prepared for a fright-fest!
                              - Ensures gap hits for both teams. Fielders are slower, so if you get aggravated, remember that this game isn't giving many doubles out of the box.
                              - Try your best not to make too many mistake pitches. Trust me, you WILL pay. Here's a tip: If you miss, miss away.
                              - Make sure you work your counts!
