The expenses are not going to change much, unless you buy more or trade for players... If you don't think you can generate much additional revenue, think about trading away that dude making $15mill...
Yea, I actually released my catcher to the free agents cause he was wasting 2.3MIL of my money. I signed a better catcher in the free agents for 300K and that helped out some. I did'nt get all 2.3MIL back because of his contract but I got half.
I really like the owner mode. At first I did'nt think I would. You have a ton of stuff you can make money on and plus each item you buy(consessions, stores, stadium upgrades) has its own rating so it can effect your attendance and ticket sells independently depending how you shop. I'll admit the stadium builder leaves alot to be desired but its cool since its really the first baseball stadium builder I've toyed with. Plus you can play at any staduim before each game anyway as well as adjust the wind speed and direction. I've been wondering though if you can make any money while playing at another teams stadium however?? I donno, I doubt that would be the case, switching stadiums seems like a option like its always been. Its just the added depth to the game that I like.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

I'm sure you could just look at his player profile though.
When I drafted, I took Chipper Jones and Todd Helton... their salaries were each 15 mill... I had to trade Helton away... Recently resigned chipper to 3 yrs 11 mill, but the bargain is Santana. I extended his contract, he's making 8 mill now.
My gripe is finding out how much you can spend on a player... because you aren't sure where the cutoff is... if you overspend, you might have to raise ticket prices, but if you're not playing well, it'll be hard for people to come to the games at that price.
That's when you usually either bite the bullet, or tweak your team to be more successful.
That's a challenge in and of itself. I think I might disable injuries as when I'm simming, I keep getting the annoying popups and don't want to take the time to resolve them for my team...Comment

Re: Owner Mode Tips
It's cool. I'm going to take the Nationals when I get the game tonight, without the fantasy draft. I'm probably going to trade away Jose Guillen or Nick Johnson to make room for Sledge in the outfield. I can't wait!!!Comment

Apparently people have said you can choose to use other stadiums, but I don't think you generate any money when you do that...
I could be wrong, but I think you need to use your stadium to generate the ticket sales money, else you don't get it at another park...
Try it out and let us know though.Comment
