Don't build up your stadium right away... make sure you get some concessions... (one of at least 4 kinds).
Don't start buying duplicates just yet (i.e. 2 icecream).
The biggest thing is you need to look at your sales just about after every series.
It'll tell you how many tickets you sold, and also it'll say your last four games... so if you adjusted the ticket price by $5, and you had a net increase/decrease, use that info to your advantage.
Also, if you have a hot team coming into down, bump it up $5. I seemed to make most of my money later in the year, especially in a pennant race...
I had over 90% sales for my front row tickets priced at $65... as a guideline.
Thus far, I've built up through level 3 (33,000 seats)... I need $20 mill surplus to get luxury boxes, so that's my next goal. I'll worry about decorating the stadium after I get a good stream of money coming through...
So I've pretty much been simming a series at a time... I adjust the prices each series, if needed...
Remember, it's probably better to have slightly lower ticket prices and slightly higher concessions, because you need the people to first get in the door to get your concessions...
Pay attention to your capacity (shows up in schedule) and if you're selling out. I typically have about 80% capacity. Some series its worse, the good teams its over 90%.
