Last night I began my season using the White Sox. The Indians got me for 17 hits, 5 of which were HR's and I lost 13-4. I actually am considering turning the CPU power down as it was an absolute beating, lol.

There are walk off celebrations, not all dramatic like one would think. But its there. I was in the World Series and extra innings. I hit a solo shot just over the center field wall. Guy came strutting home with a few waiting around the bag and he came and jumped on it as they all surrounded him like they usually do (think when Boston won in playoffs on home runs to end the game, just not as many people). I think its so tame because of polygon count. But, it is in there. Think I saw someone saying something about it here recently.

Here is what i would suggest... Upping CPU power but lowering their contact and swing rate. They just go for too many 1st pitch strikes.

Hey, just wondering if these sliders work fine at the Pro level? I am playing down there right now cuz of my hitting problems.

That's for sure....my last game Red Sox (me) vs. Yanks

                      Code:
IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	PITCHES
                      Curt Schilling	7.0	3	2	2	1	2	1	61
                      Alan Embree	1.0	0	0	0	0	0	0	14
                      Keith Foulke	1.0	2	0	0	0	0	0	12

                      Randy Johnson	7.0	5	3	3	2	8	1	89
                      Tom Gordon	2.0	3	1	1	1	0	0	17
The pitch counts were excellent for the CPU, Johnson got pulled after 7 with 89 pitches which seems spot on. My pitch count was low because the CPU kept jumping on the first pitch and not letting me get into my counts. In fact my only two strikeouts were on Giambi. The hit totals seemed a little low too, but that could be because it was two aces, Schilling and the Big Unit. Overall the game played GREAT!

                      Thanks a lot Pared.

I have been having this problem also! This is contributing to why my pitchers' pitch counts have been on the low side! I have been trying to tweak things but they still like to swing at first pitches a little too often.

I tested a 2nd game with these sliders, and I must say I am even more impressed than I was after the first game

                              Code:
IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	PITCHES
                              David Wells	6.0	6	3	3	0	3	3	71
                              Matt Mantei	1.0	1	0	0	1	0	0	14
                              Mike Timlin	1.0	1	0	0	0	0	0	9

                              Mike Mussina	8.2	8	1	1	3	7	0	98
                              Mariano Rivera	0.1	1	0	0	0	1	0	4
Mussina could have went the distance but he got in a little trouble in the 9th so they brought in Rivera who promptly finished me off. 98 pitches is excellent. Wells only had 71 but that is also great because he only pitched 6 innings. The Yankees beat me 3-1, all 3 runs were scored on solo homers. I had 9 hits, they had 8.
