    Re: Wilson10's MVP 2005 All-Star sliders

hmmmm, 37% and 81 pitches after 6 innings? WOW! See, thats sorta what I mean but thats why sliders and such are not perfect for everyone. For me, even with the meter and control @-50 the pitching CAN be easy at times BUT not all the time. So I may throw 81 through 7 innings but I will have a lower stamina b/c of the higher fatigue slider. Thats where I struggle with these. I want realistic pitch counts BUT at the same time I want my guys to be about gassed around the 7th or 8th unless they are throwing one hell of a game. I MAY give up pitch counts (they are CLOSE) to get the stamina right and thus the relievers may not be able to come back as quick with a higher fatigue slider as discussed in another topic! Either way man, I feel these sliders are pretty close to want I am wanting in my gaming experience!!

hey wilson i got your reply thanks for feed back ,but anyway lets talk mvp baseball 2005 on my last post i told u i threw 83 pitches in 6 innings and had a 37% stamina left i wish it could turn out to be that way all the time but its not ,every pitcher has a different stamina ,good pitchers have better control and throw more strikes which means less thrown pitches and more stamina in late innings, medicore pitchers, and certain veteran pitchers have less control, less stamina which u throw more balls causing your stamina to go down realisticly based on there stamina when the pitcher begins his game.i guess what im trying to say is good pitchers with good stamina and good control last longer but u dont get realistic pitch counts, and medicore pitchers with low stamina and bad control give u realistic pitch counts,, sounds strange in a way but also sounds true.... if u come up with new pitching sliders or figure this out please let me know..... thanks

Hey Wilson10. I played 5 more games and and went 4-1 for a total record with your slides at 6-3. I have won 4 in a row. I lost 2 out of 3 to the Twins at home and swept KC in KC in a 3 game series. Run results varied and out of those five games I had 2 extra inning games and went 1-1 in those games. I had a couple of blowouts (7-2 against Minnesota and 10-2 against KC). I wish I could actually capture all the stats for each game but that is not possible on the Xbox. Anyway I find your sliders very challenging and fun to play with. I have yet though to have a high strikeout game with one of my pitchers. The most I have gotten was 4. That's even with Randy Johnson pitching. I'll keep you posted on the upcoming games I play. Later.

hmmm. Well I felt the K's were low too. Jusy NOT usre yet on how to fix them. Can do a few different things I think to correct this. On might be the Cpu swing frequency. If we raise it (to a more + number) I am not sure what will happen. I had it lower to try and keep the putch counts up. I will try lowering that 1 slider (or you can) and see what happens

To be perfectly honest I think you are pretty right on with your sliders. At least for me. I don't mind a low K count. I just thought I would mention it. As long as I get guys out one way or another it's fine with me. It could also be that I really don't know how to pitch very well as far as setting guys up for strikeouts. If you do switch that slider let me know and I will let you know as well if I play with the CPU swing frequency setting.

Maybe one day we can get a game against each other with Xbox Live. It would have to be after 9:00 PM EST since I have kids and have to put them to bed first so I don't have any distractions while I am playing the game.

                    Have a good night.

to me the best cpu swing frequency is -27 you will get your strikeouts ,cpu takes just a littlebit more pitches and you will get your called 3rd strike with the computer looking or swinging with this setting(-27cpu swing frequency)it feels pretty real to me, but be careful on how u pitch the cpu can flat out hit
i also use wilson10 sliders he has excellent sliders no question...
i only adjusted the cpu frequency to -27 try it u might like it -26 is not bad also... my thoughts..thanks
