Wouldn't this be better in poll format listing the top 10 and an "other" selection?

I just added a poll to the thread. Just threw some quick names out there but there shouldn't be many "Other" selections.

I voted for Lee and Roberts.

Crap, I had a poll and everything, I pressed the wrong button though and messed it up. Thanks though Squint. I think it is cuz I had 10 originally, but I wanted to change it to 12, and an error occured and I missed my poll. I am gonna do the same with Cy Young and ROY within the half hour. Mine had Jose Guillen and Mark Teixiera in there as well. Thanks for fixing it though Squint.

                    Lee and Roberts.

I was looking for a reason to not vote for Roberts, but I couldn't find one. The man is an absolute monster with his speed, power, and OBP numbers. He's also played a pretty good defensive second base. I don't see how/why he shouldn't be unanimous in the first half.

Carpenter as in Chris Carpenter the pitcher?!

Kind of hard to argue for a pitcher for MVP (Carpenter) when another pitcher (Morris) on the same team has similar numbers.

Well you put Carpenter in your Cy Young poll (without Morris) so he has to be doing something right. Unless you're arguing the "Valuable" aspect.

The "valuable" part would be correct. The Cy Young is typically a numbers based award while the MVP is open for interpretation. There is no denying that Carpenter has outpitched Morris (hence the Cy Young mention), but not to the extent to justify the MVP award over him.
