Re: Sheffield Rips Classic
Sheffield didn't hold playing in the World Baseball Classic in the same high esteem as playing in the Olympics.

Re: Sheffield Rips Classic
Memo to Gary Sheffield: You're being paid millions of dollars to play a game. STFU.
Does it strike anyone else that American players are far, far less concerned with being role models and ambassadors for the game than foreign players are? It just seems like the sense of entitlement of American players is so much higher than their foreign counterparts and they could care less about what people (especially kids) think of them.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

What a joke USA athletes are. Every other country and players couldn't be happier to represent their countries. Yet in the USA we have to send a roster of minor leaguers because our stars "get paid in the season" you know, since they're so strapped for cash making $15 million dollars a year. Give me a break. I'm ashamed to say guys like Sheffield were born in the USA.Comment

Why must Sheffield make himself sound like an idiot? He could've just been like a lot of other guys and say, "I don't want to risk getting hurt for the real season," but by saying ,"My season is when I get paid," really makes him sound like an arrogant jerk.
He's been a real piece of work lately.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I wouldn't want him to lie as Jmood suggested I would want to... but he could've said the same thing without making himself look like a greedy person by saying it differently.
