He can demand all he wants, I don't see him being traded. That contract is unmoveable, and in case he didn't remember he was put on waivers last year and no one claimed him. Plus, the Sox aren't going to move him when they're leading the division.

ESPNews is really overblowing the story. This is what, the 3rd time in 4 years he's asked to be traded? And I don't care what ESPNews said, they're wrong. He didn't "demand" a trade, he "asked" to be traded. I'll glady take his 45 home runs and 150 RBI's when he's unhappy.

Ramirez reportedly told team officials he is unhappy in Boston, particularly with his lack of privacy off the field. This would be the third time in four years that Ramirez has requested a trade. The report also states the Red Sox have no intention of moving him. This most likely is just another of one Manny's many mood swings.

Lol, I was just listening to Mike and the Mad Dog, and some Met fan had a trade for Ramirez centered around Heilman and Zambrano.

When he doesn't get traded(for the rd time in four years, as stated above) he'll suddenly realize what he's got and do one of his hand-shakes with Ortiz, be happy, and the cycle will start again next year.

This shouldn't even be a story. Sean McAdam was on WEEI today and said Manny said something to him about getting his privacy back a couple weeks ago but didn't really make a big deal out of it because Manny says off the wall things like this all the time. It's telling that none of the Boston writers knew anything about this before it came out.
