At the same time the White Sox can't go into negotiations trying to lowball him.. if the Sox want him back.. act like you want him and show him the money.Comment

Man, I used to love Maggs. O-WEE-O, Maaaagglio. I was sad to see him leave and wish he was on this team. Same goes for Carlos Lee, that was my guy to.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Lets not forget how this city works. We trade away talent like Chicago is farm system. I have no doubt in my mind that some team will throw a few truckloads of cash at him and Chicago will be hesitant at matching the offer.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Paulie Konerko
The White Sox will really found out how bad Kornerko wants to comeback after the WS is over. They have a 15 day exclusive window to sign him.
If Korenko doesn't want to seriously get a deal done, then there's a chance he will bolt like Billy Wagner.Comment

He should have already had this lesson with the Bulls.
Hopefully things turn out for the best.Comment

Just curious because when he's cut, the Sox will still have to pay him unless they can get out of his contract due to injury. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it is and I think Frank and the Sox would have to agree to a reduced rate.
It's one of the things I dislike about baseball contracts. They're guaranteed...unlike football where if you cut a guy, all the team has to pay is the bonus.
I know when the Pirates cut Derek Bell a few years ago, they had to finish paying off his ridiculous contract the next year.Comment

I should've figured the Pirates were too stupid back then to put a buyout into Bell's contract!Comment

EDIT - Nevermind. The 10m is a player option that Thomas has. If he exercises that, the team can buy him out for 3.5m which is a savings of 6.5m.Comment
