There was some talk that the Orioles may have some interest in Wickman but i agree the Indians should sign him back now that Hoffman is off the market.

And the Indians re-signed Wickman to a 1 year deal @ $5 million

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT WICKY!!!!!!! He's gonna cost us games all over again!!!! We better get Millwood, Elarton and Nomar or I will be pissed. But then again, Wicky was good for us last year. I need to go buy stock in Tums cause I know I'm gonna need them.

Hah, most people would be happy to have the AL leader in saves back, but what do I know. Odds are, out of the three you mentioned, you will only see the Indians sign Elarton. Also look for them to possibly replace Howry w/ Rudy Seanez.

The Indians are not going to match the reported 4 year $44.million offer the Mariners have for Millwood so don't count him to return. Elarton could return at a reasonable price and if not Rudy Seanez there is a strong possibility of Julian Tavarez returning to Cleveland as the setup man for Wickman.

I would rather have him over Hoffman. I am glad he turned down the 3 year deal. At the end of that deal Hoffman would have been 41 years old. And I think it would hamper the development of Cabrera.
Now Wicky holds down the job as long as it takes for Cabrera to get ready.
Also Elarton has been offered arbitration.
