I don't like that deal at all. Manny is a better hitter than Tejada, and you're giving up a decent end of the rotation starter along with him. If this didn't involve the Red Sox also sending a boatload of cash I could see it but we know that isn't the case.

I guess if you have to trade Manny, getting Tejada isn't bad, I just don't understand why you need to give Clement as well. It seems like every move we make this year fills a hole at one position and creates one at another. If we trade Manny our OF is what? Kapler, Stern, Nixon? Ugh.

Yeah, that is getting a little frustrating isn't it?! We could really afford to find a 2 for 1 swap and address a few needs.

I'd love to get the prospects being talked about in a Wells to LA trade, and one would wonder if they could be spun to Clevelend for Coco. But that would likely cost Bronson as well, and then you still have a corner outfield spot open and no more pitchers to trade for Jeremy Reed. One major positive IMO if we ever got Tejada is that Lugo would be out of the rumor mill...every trade involving TB has been awful so far, and I think Gathright is very overrated.
