It would seem Kenny Williams can't take any criticism against the White Sox at all.
Everett says controversial (or generally stupid) stuff all the time, so what if he says the White Sox are going to finish in 3rd place in the Central, the Mariners will probably finish in last place in their division. I'm gtting tired of Kenny Williams and i hope the White Sox do finish in 3rd place and i hope it's a team like the Tigers or the Royals that put them there.Comment

Too bad these "White Sox" fans used to be Cub fans... but anyways..... The Indians came on strong last year, they have a young team that will only get better every year. The Indians are too solid on offense, granted there pitching is not as good as the ChiSox but the offense will carry them. I think alot of things are going to happen to the White Sox, 1. Smartball will be exposed when Ozzie keeps sending his runners and they fail to convert stolen bases over 75% of the time. 2. They are replacing Rowand (who was great at the plate, great in the field) with a rookie. 3. Thome is a great hitter, but what is going to happen when nobody is on base in front of him? He will have a load of solo shots, not to mention he is not exactly playing in CBP anymore. 4. Do you really think the starting staff is going to repeat the great performances from last year? No way. 5. The closer position is overrated, but Jenks has never done well in the minors, what makes you think he will keep his fluke like performance that he had last year? The best part about this is the Chi Sox are overly confident about next year, I cannot wait to see Ozzie out of the playoffs next year, hopefully he will keep his mouth shut and start crying.Comment

I agree with everything except #4. The White Sox easily have one of the best starting staffs in the AL, which should keep them in contention, if not more.Comment

Wow a lot of people that hate the Sox in this thread. Well I guess it's better to be hated then not thought about at all. As for the reason for this thread, how can you not laugh at Jurrasic Carl. Let him shoot his mouth off all he wants. He was on the team last year and we won a title but that doesn't make him an expert on how the team will do this year. He's been a problem everywhere he's gone except for here and the Expos. Hardly the guy you want to listen to when talking about chemistry...Comment

""No. 1, my feelings on Carl Everett are pretty clear,'' Williams said. "I've traded for him twice, so that's how much I respect him as a ballplayer and as part of the leadership on this team last year. He helped us win a World Series, and I'll never forget him for that.
"As far as his other feelings on our leadership or our chemistry we currently have, we just have to agree to disagree.''
After making those comments in response to Everett, however, a heated Williams then confronted Everett in the parking lot after the game. The two talked for several minutes, but it didn't do much to alter Everett's feelings.
"Nothing has changed,'' Everett said. "There are no problems. Interpret it how you want to interpret it.''"
whoa haha. Anyways, He could be right about the chemistry thing, hed know better than any of us.
Imagine that Williams heated and confronting someone. I am just surprised he didn't pull a news camera over there with him to show off how classy he can be again.Comment

I think the team that stays the healthiest in the AL Central will win it, but I also think the Indians have more Major League ready replacements to step in if an injury does occur than the sox.Comment

The WS rotation probably won't see a big dropoff in production, but you have to believe Jon Garland will crap out that horse-shoe this year.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

BUT the greatest thing to see last year was not only the White Sox winning it all BUT the 2 teams that the major TV networks jock the hardest in the Red Sox and Yankees loose in the first round.
ALMOST EVERY DAMN RED SOX VS YANKEE GAME ON NATIONAL TV just about made me as sick as when ESPN showed the Duke vs North Carolina game on all their channels. There are more teams to baseball besides the Yankees and Red Sox. If you just watched ESPN you think after being forced to watching Boston and New York that the Senior Circut was the American League!I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong.
