Agreed, but the tilt on KROD's slider plus mid 90's fasbtall is some serious ****, imo. But agreed on tough to say on closers.

I love Sheets when healthy. But he's been inconsistent at best.

I am biased, but I gotta love Peavy. Two seamer in the low to mid 90's. Fabulous changeup that gets good sink that he can spot, a slider that breaks late and explodes

Mo's cutter has to be around the top of the list for best fastball.

I don't know what your major malfunction is but as best I can tell you got your panties into a wad because one Mariners fan said that Felix had the best stuff in the game. That's debatable and has been debated but apparently you're now twisting that into a vendetta against all M's fans who happen to praise Felix. Grow up and start debating honestly instead of hiding behind outlandish strawman arguments. If you don't know what that means then look it up.

Yeah I got my panties in a wad. I asked about him last year and started this thread, He has two good starts this year, and Mariner fans dig up this thread a year later. Yup, I got my panties in a wad. Keep away from open flame yourself straw boy. It was hardly one Mariner fan

His cutter is so dominant, than some feel, right handers are actually more effective against him, because that pitches neutralizes lefties so effectively.

How about actually addressing the person or persons allegedly saying the things you're claiming (which I've seen absolutely no evidence of and are probably pulling out of your ***) instead of making sweeping claims about what "Mariners fans" are supposedly saying. I have no interest in your personal pissing matches.

KRod, Nathan, and Putz are the class of the baseball closers (at least last season). KRod and Nathan both with nasty sliders and Putz with his splitter. You could pick any of the three and can't go wrong.

Sheets can't stay healthy, but when he does pitch he's as nasty and consistent as they get. He simply gets outs at a better pace than Santana, Liriano, Oswalt, Harden, Peavy, Felix, Halladay, etc.

Speaking of closers, he's lost some off his fastball, but Hoffman was still as effective as anyt closer in baseball last year. I don't think he's gotten the credit he deserves over his career. Putz, splitter is unhittable when he sets it up.

KROD's slider is disgusting, and when he's spotting it and mixing it with his fastball, he's almost unhittable. PRoblem is with his arm action, and the torque he puts on his arm, I gotta believe he's a major arm problem waiting to happen.

Nathan is amazing. Another one of those guys, like Gagne, bust as a starter, but have that perfect mindset and hard stuff to be a dominant closer.

                    Agreed on Sheets.

Papelbon's in that discussion with closers too, IMO.

                          Yeah, I forgot about him.

A healthy BJ Ryan could be there too.

Not a lot of people noticed how dominant Ryan was last year.

And I don't mean to keep bringing him up but how are people talking about all the dominant closers, and not mentioning Rivera?

Best closer over a long period of time I have ever seen.

Gagne, had the best single season of a closer I have ever seen.
