If anyone in there was ever a Bonds apologist and still thinks there is a remote chance that he didn't use steroids, then you need to read Game of Shadows. The overwhelming amount of circumstancial and factual information against Bonds is too much to ignore.

Well, I tend to look at things differently. The authors of "Game of Shadows" are going to have to testify before the grand jury investigating Barry Bonds. The feds want to know who leaked the grand jury testimony to them since leaking is illegal.

In no surprise, those authors are fighting thier subpoena. I believe that these authors have something to hide. I don't think they should be fighting a grand jury that they, in effect, caused. That seems really disingenuous to me. I'm reserving my judgement for all parties involved until the situation is settled and am going to enjoy watching history.

Also, I highly doubt Roger Clemens has taken anything. Then again, I had no idea about Benito Santiago and Jeremy Giambi.

While I agree that there is not even circumstantial evidence linking Clemens to anything steroids, none of the players that were suspended last year had any links to Balco or any other known steroid maker or dealer. Just because a player hasn't been linked to Balco doesn't mean they didn't use performance enhancers.

Someone mentioned that amphetamines were not being tested for. This is not true. In the new agreement this year there are punishments for amphetamine use and they are just as harsh as those fro steroid use.

Until the union agrees to blood tests, we will never know who's juicing. And as for the past we can only know about the guys who have tested positive, admitted using and those with too much circumstantial evidence against them to deny.

That's true. I recall reading an article where an anonymous GM said that we're going to see some guys REALLY rundown come the end of the season because they aren't taking amphetamines.

I was about to bump this myself. I'm glad that people can finally stop being so damn blind to the fact that this is a tainted game.

I think it's because people love baseball so much, that they don't want to admit the fact that it's a game filled with cheaters.

Well my goodness. I just read a little article about it. As a casual baseball fan, I would have never put together any 2+2 equation to know if Roger was hitting roids too. That is quite amazing how so much of this stuff is coming to light. Roger Clemens on Paper

I've always thought he was on HGH. If you look at his last two years in Boston he had very average years. His internal numbers other then W-L were pretty good but no one could predict the rennaisance that he had.

The guy goes to Toronto and arguably has two of the greatest seasons in MLB history for a pitcher. His career has seen him perform on the same par as his peak years in Boston when he should be declining or retired by now.

This could get very interesting over the course of next couple years and more and more evidence comes out.

The almighty BBWAA have deemed themselves God when it comes to who they think and don't think did steroids and a very high percentage have said they will not vote for McGwire. Now Clemens has just as much, if not more, evidence suggesting he used performance enhancers. I don't even think McGwire was ever named in any legal documents, was he?

Clemens is considered a "golden child" and I wonder how the BBWAA will react to this coming to light.

I don't think Roger Clemens personal trainer or best friend was busted for Steroids.
I dont think Roger Clemens stats doubled over night like Bonds HR totals.
I don't think Roger Clemens head expanded over night.

I do find this funny, because when I said how was Clemens able to do what he is doing at his age! lol People just laugh, but I still think this is how it is going to be. We are in the roid era. It is getting better, but it is still there.
