Wow it sounds like Andrew Miller will NOT go #1. His current projection is now at #11.

Luke Hochevar is now predicted to be the #1 pick:

Gonna be a hectic first 10-15 picks. Looks like Miller's stock has fallen off drastically (as he also hasn't pitched as great as of late).

        Re: 2006 MLB Draft

This is supposed to be the worst draft since 2000 which was terrible if you look back and check out some of the first round picks. None of the top college hitters project to be more than average in the majors and even the best pitchers have question marks. Supposedly Kansas City will take either Lincoln or Hochevar and Miller could slide to the middle of the first if he doesnt go #1 due to bonus demands.
Personally Lincecum and Jeffress are two of my favorites but both of them will be long gone by the time the Red Sox pick, although Lincecum projects more as a reliever due to his size. Though most people hate Stubbs' offensive ceiling personally I kind of like him. He won't be a star but I think he'll be able to get on base enough to be a solid centerfielder someday. If he somehow falls to the Sox I'll be dissapointed if they don't take him but he probably won't last past the late teens.

I don't see why the Cubs would take Marrero. I'm hoping they take Lincecum. He kinda reminds me of Roy Oswalt with his delivery.

I hope Miller drops to the Yanks.

Edit - Tigers just took him.

                            Jesus.

If Miller develops as well as some think he could, that Tigers pitching staff is going to be in-effin-credible.

                            Verlander, Bonderman, Robertson, Miller, (blank)

That's a pretty young, good looking nucleus.

edit: Not too mention Kyle Sleeth who, if he can come back from TJS, was another first round pick. I'm not sure if he's a starter or reliever. I am thinking reliever.

And the D-Rays add yet another young position player...guess you can't really pass up Evan L...but they need some pitching.

Thats a pretty big if. The chances of them all pitching in the same rotation are slim to none.
