How is it that Randy Johnson gets a 5 game suspension for not even hitting a guy, but a manager can order a guy to hit someone and not get in trouble?

I think Johnson's suspension is crap, and MLB has no clear rules apparantly. Hitting guys is part of the game, but Johnson didn't even hit a guy.

Ozzie has a point. Maybe AJ should have charged the mound instead of putting him in that situation to have a rookie pitcher bean a batter.

BUT Ozzie didn't want Vasquez to do it was because it was the 4th inning and Ozzie didn't want to use the bullpen early. Because when AJ got hit thats when the ump issued warnings for both team, which to me was not fair because the Sox didn't do anything at that point. So once the warning was issued Vasquez not only would have been kicked out of the game BUT served a suspension. Which the White Sox don't need right now.

And for yesterday's game, a warning was issued before the game started so Buherle couldn't do it because he'd also be under the threat of a suspension. That why he wanted the rookie to do it.

I always thought the old saying was, "Take one for the team." I guess it doesn't apply anymore.

I think the problem is, no one on the White Sox like AJ Pierzynski either.

They hated him when he played for the Twins, that's well documented. I'm sure there are some players still on the team from those days. The rest of MLB hates him, so why wouldn't some of the players on his own team?

I see your point, and I dont know anything behind the scenes or how players feel, but just based on what i watch and have followed since hes been here, I dont think that is the case. I think hes well liked amongest the team and if anything hes one of our team leaders.

I think you may be on to something.

On a side note, I know catchers probably talk alot of trash while batters are in the box, AJ seems to remind me of the dude in Major League. He talked tons of trash.

If we ran a baseball poll of most disliked fans, White Sox fans would win in a landslide......and it would have nothing to do with just winning a World Series. Of course, not all are bad though. Others act like their mother's or wive's are being insulted if you say anything negative about the organization.
