Yeah it's pretty obvious that this guy is a vag. There are parapalegic's who have recovered faster than this giant puss.

I agree, but that wasn't part of what people were arguing.

People were saying he was a waste of money.

The point is, when healthy Pavano is a top starter.

I understand he hasn't been healthy and obviously he hasn't done much to come back from injury, but he isn't a waste of money. No one would have known that Pavano would suffer an arm injury, let alone be in a car accident, during his contract.

i wouldnt say "top" starter.. he really only had one good year (which was in his FA year).. I know pitching for the Expos wasn't exactly "heaven", but his record there was essentially a .500 pitcher

          Ok, fair enough.

By top I really meant top of the rotation (2/3 type of guy). But, bad wording.

He's still a 2/3 (maybe more of a 3) starter in many rotations.

i would say yes to that... right now with the Yanks, i would say he would even be a 4 (not bad for a 4 though)..

When healthy Pavano still won't do much for the Yankees. Even Joe Torre said in spring training that he believes Pavano does not have the stomach to pitch in New York.

Pavano's a joke. However, the bigger joke is that GM's likely won't take anything from this and will still overpay for starting pitching.

Well, that's just silly. You're a Red Sox fan so I know you've seen what the Yankees have thrown out there on the mound.

You're telling me that Pavano wouldn't be an upgrade of some kind?

The only consistant pitchers on the staff are Mussina and Wang. After that the Yankees pray that Johnson gives up less than five runs.

That's two spots in the order. Surely you couldn't believe that Jaret Wright is better than Pavano.
