Somebody, I don't know who, is talking on the FAN now, and said there was a flight instructor, and a student pilot (Lidle) on the plane.

I believe that is mayor Bloomberg but I am not certain.

Eye witness report stated that the plane's wings were vertical when she saw it and the pilot was trying to get it righted. Since the plane was vertical, it lost altitude fast. Once he got it horizontal, he tried to pull up to get it airborn, but ran out of room.

I know I've ripped Mike and the Mad Dog for generally being jackasses on the air, but to their credit, both expressed some remorse, saying, basically, wow, we just spoke to this guy a couple of days ago, and we basically argued with him and gave him a hard time... Dog seemed to be particularly pensive about the whole thing.

Mad Dog looks awful today. That must be a terrible feeling knowing that you had berated a man that just lost his life.

This reminds me of back in 2001 how Enrique Wilson was supposed to be on the plane that went down over Queens but since the Yankees lost Game 7 in the World Series, he left a day earlier and escaped fate.

Fate is insane.

RIP Lidle, this is absolutely terrible.

Yeah, I'm watching it on YES right now and they look shaken up a bit. They're facial expressions are very somber. They may have been one of the last people to have an interview with him, and they busted his ***. You know they've got to feel bad.

Mad Dog looks awful today. That must be a terrible feeling knowing that you had berated a man that just lost his life.

I can't imagine how i'd react if i'd just had basically berated someone and then said person died like that. I'm sure this has put some perspective to everything for them and for us as fans.

Hopefully, from everything i've heard/seen from these guys (which is not much) that this event may give them a sense of reality before taking sports like it's life and death.
