seriously... if they want ball players as commentators, lets go for bigger guys than these.. but heck, not a bad pay day for a guy who had maybe one or two good years in the show..

They should get rid of all the analysts and just keep Karl Ravech to do the highlights, that way we could get longer highlights also. The only ones who I can stand on the show are Ravech, Gammons, and Kurkjian.

Need Kruk for me... he's great. And Cowherd was going on and on today about how ESPN has a bias against the Yankees... Screw you Colin! How about ESPN just ignore the Yanks like they do with 28 or so other teams outside of the Yankees and Red Sox. Bias my foot... If you only watched ESPN you would seriously think the Yankees and Sox are the only two teams that exist.

ESPN's recent fascination with incorporating pop-culture into their shows is really stange (Soprano's, Price Is Right...). It seems like a bad experiment trying to combine ESPN with VH1.

A BWE version of ESPN wouldn't be so bad though... right? right?

Haven't watched BBTN since HR left, but I can tell you that Destrade is very good on MLB on XM's Baseball This Morning.

                Destrade isn't awful generally.

Eduardo Perez on the other hand...

If they would do Ravech-Kruk-Gammons-Kurkjian every night, it'd make the show a million times more watchable.

Heck just Ravech-Kruk-Gammons would be perfect... throw HR back into that team and you'll have the glory team of Baseball Tonight back and kicking.

                      1. What if Reggie Bush had stayed for his senior season at USC, would you draft him ahead of Calvin Johnson?

                      2. If LeBron played in the NFL, what position would he play?

Who cares? Neither situation is applicable to the NFL.

I hate how ESPN has tried to stretch their NFL coverage year round. Ugh.
I completely agree. They do this with the MLB, too, but mostly just with the NFL. I mean, there are so many things going on in sports right now, and I honestly couldn't care less about what position LeBron would play in the NFL (considering that it doesn't matter).

And btw, Baseball Tonight hit a low of epic proportions a while ago, when they did the whole "rock concert" commercial with Gammons and Kruk dressed up as Black Sabbath members. Painful stuff.

I resurrect this thread to bring you the US Rock-Paper-Scissors Championship on ESPN2 right now.

                        Thread won.

I'd say this "Who's Now" crap on SC gives any of these other segments a run for their money.

True but at least that sorta deals with athletes. This had a "competitor" enter in a boxing robe with oven mitts on his hands as they cut to a "rock-paper-scissors" analyst discussing proper strategy. And they do it all with a strait face.:y4:
