To me, it seems like the minor things would be easy. Performance breeds expectation. The better a game gets, the more we expect it to have the little stuff right on. If there is a visible popcorn stand, then it should be in the right place, if nothing else, 'cause it isn't that hard to too.

Then spend some quality time in the Pro Basketball forums, where you can find a breakdown of who is not wearing the proper shoe colors.
You want to talk about proper shoe color then he should hit the college sports forum around the time the new college football games come out.Comment

I will sacrifice the popcorn stand for other more meaningful features, such as.......gameplay! How do you know how hard it is to add those things? Don't you think maybe your expectations are a little high? With expectations like trhat, how are you ever going to be satisfied?
I will sacrifice stadium features for more hit types. I will sacrifice real time scoreboards for more fielding animations. I will sacrifice graphics for gameplay anyday. Yes, I expect the graphics to be next gen, but I spend my time actually p[laying the game, not looking to make sure my favorite player has all of his batting armor on!Comment

Re: OMFG The lump in The Unit\'s throat is too big
I wasn't saying that I actualy cared where they put the popcorn stand...I was just saying that logically, if they can make good games, why can't they do the little things? You're very right--I have absolutely NO idea how hard it is. If I cared about looks that much I wouldn't play HH--although, personally, I don't think the graphics are as "HORRIBLE!! AGGHHH!!" as everyone says they are. I can't stand ASB, and I'll be the first to concede it looks pretty.Comment

Re: OMFG The lump in The Unit\'s throat is too big
I've been on the same page withyall for a few years now. But what I think it is, is that the younger generation.(Say 13,14ish)
Did'nt grow up with NES or even SNES. Thier first console was more than likely PS1. And with that, you had 3d graphics, on sports games most of the great players had thier signiture batting stance and replica face glued on, the correct body size and every team had the correct uni colors and logos.
And us, the older generation grew upp on 2d, 8 bit and under graphics where the entire team looked the same, everybody was one race, the teams did'nt use real players, and the crowd was a pastel painting of glowing dots. and the stadiums, were either grass, astro turf or dome. Only three stadiums.
So they dont have a much appreciation for games as we had, b/c they were'nt here from the beggining and the Atari days. Thats the reason for the constant bickering and rants about the clouds not moving. If somebody locked them in a room with a Coleco Vision I seriously think they would kill thierself. They would'nt touh it.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: OMFG The lump in The Unit\'s throat is too big
The only gripe I have is the homerun detection, ASB does this very well, but no ther game does it at all, the ball disappears.
I don't mind people griping, but to see them say something as simple as someone's stance is a reason to not buy a game seems somewhat shallow and ignorant. Like I said, the gov't gives all types of scholarships to people who want to go to school, even for game programming.
I don't find HH's graphics that horrific either, but I don't buy a game to look at it, I am a gamer, I play video games. I don't sit around with a notebook and a No.2 pencil writng down the games shortcomings or graphical indifferences.
