Did'nt grow up with NES or even SNES. Thier first console was more than likely PS1. And with that, you had 3d graphics, on sports games most of the great players had thier signiture batting stance and replica face glued on, the correct body size and every team had the correct uni colors and logos.

And us, the older generation grew upp on 2d, 8 bit and under graphics where the entire team looked the same, everybody was one race, the teams did'nt use real players, and the crowd was a pastel painting of glowing dots. and the stadiums, were either grass, astro turf or dome. Only three stadiums.
So they dont have a much appreciation for games as we had, b/c they were'nt here from the beggining and the Atari days. Thats the reason for the constant bickering and rants about the clouds not moving. If somebody locked them in a room with a Coleco Vision I seriously think they would kill thierself. They would'nt touh it.

You're right. To say your "not going to buy" a game b/c of a minor, minor detail is silly.

But isn't that their right? If that's what really gets them going, and the game isn't meeting their expectations, they should buy the game anyways? Because you say it's good, and that it does the things that you think are important correctly?

Look, I'm as Old Skool as any of y'all. And I've been through the "shoes aren't the right color" threads many times, in many sports. But it just doesn't seem worth it, finally.

Who is it hurting if someone says they won't buy GameX because PlayerY's shoelaces don't have a double-knot? If you don't like the threads ... they age off. Don't respond, and start your own threads about what is important to you.

And then someone can respond and tell you you're wrong, and what you care about isn't really important. Because they will. Franchise? Animations? Correct Rosters? Fielding Control? I've heard all these things labelled as insignificant.

These are games. If the lack of a certain something makes the game less fun for someone, they shouldn't be harassed into playing it.

And, finally: The only thing more pointless than complaining about shoe color is complaining about people who complain about shoe color.
