As long as they keep playing in the "Friendly Confines" they'll never be a contender.

That place is never going down. One of the best ballparks ever. The aura and historic feeling in the place is second to none. When you go to a game, you almost feel like its the 30's or something with ppl in the stands with top hats and smoking cigars. No electric hi-tech scoreboard. Which is nice b/c it keeps you focused on the game. The corridors are dim and everything just looks old. From the cobblestone walkways to the old back breaking seats.
And with a hi-tech scoreboard, you ever catch yourself mssing the action b/c you're staring at all the lights and screens everywhere. Not there, you stay focused on the game which makes it a very great ballpark.

Well he left two teams that eventually won championships in the Yankees and Diamondbacks. That has to say something about what he left for Joe Torre and Arizon's manager!

I never seen the bad points of Showalter.. I mean, i'm sure he's prolly got some, but by what i've seen of his analysis that he implores on Sportscenter on occasion, he seems VERY knowledgable..

It was Gene LaMont. Then he came to manage my beloved Bucs. He was a good base coach, lousy manager.

My "Worst Manager" Vote goes to Jimy Williams (Houston, formerly of Boston). Uses too many pitchers and alienates his players. (I almost voted for Marty Morhningweg (sp?). Wrong sport but giving up the ball in OT is just STUPID)

How about that manager for the Blue Jays a couple of years ago that said he was in Vietnam. That guy has loser written all over him and I hope he never gets another job in the bigs again. I think his name was Tim Johnson.

Yeah, that was Tim Johnson. Outside of his big lie, he wasn't a bad coach though.

                                Some other bad coaches :

                                -Dallas Green with the Mets
                                -Ray Miller (Orioles)
                                -Tom Trebelhorn
-Ted Turner- Braves- (even though it was only for 1 day)
