Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...

From the look of the preview videos posted here, my take its seems like the same game as we have seen the last two years with some minor improvements to the graphics and the addition of more pitch types...

Myu question is this; Is there a reason to get this game, has 3DO improved the game to warrant a purchase, or have they repacked the old game with monir enhancements?

Dont get me wrong I love the HH series but after playing every release the game seems to become stale...

    Best,

I would say an addition of a deep franchise is worthy of a purchase.

I offically hate ebgames.com the shipping status of high heat went from 2/19 to back order to 2/22 in the last 3 or so hours and my order status still says open and i can cancel the order which makes me think my order status is correct and it really hasnt shipped yet. Called my 3 local game stores and they all dont have it but say it should be in by noon or 1 today

SOMEONE over at ign boards received his copy from 3d0 this morning and is giving it high praise so far.

HH has always had a pitch preview option, not sure what else to explain.

It's when the CPU allows you to see a little icon for the aprroximate area that the ball will be pitched.

Oh, I haven't seen it, maybe it's off by default.

Anyone know how many blocks of memory the PS2 version uses? I may actually pick it up today, after saying I wanted nothing to do with it. I am so easily tempted by new games

I think you asked this in the interview, but the guy danced around the question. In last year's game, whenever there was a bad throw, the camera angle completely changed and was extremely hard to follow. It made it impossible to find the ball or to figure out whether you could advance the runners or not. Is that same camera angle switch in the game when a bad throw is made?

Well, I haven't played with all the camera angles, but so far it's EXACTLY like last year, I was lost on a few occasions on different views.
