      Yea bad call.

And it looked like the umpire wasn't sure and just said **** it and called him safe.

Tough way to end the game, at the same time though, never should have come down to that.

An amazing game! Hats off to the Rockies for putting together a fine season and bringing the baseball spirit back to Colorado. Hopefully the Monforts will open up the pocketbook and lock up the youngsters and build on the talent.

I wish I was back home, though, buying tickets for the playoffs. My parents and sister already bought them...

Don't think he tagged him after, Tim made the safe call. Should have been no call, and i'd assume Barrett would have ended up tagging him. Should still be playing right now.

Yeah, it should have been a no call until Holliday went back and touched the plate or the catcher tagged Holliday for the out.

Usually when Hoffman succeeds, he gets some questionable called strikes, this umpire was very consistent all game long, and gave nothing to anyone.

No I'm alright. I actually couldn't hold off my exercise any longer.

Sucks for Hoffman. All that haters are having a field day over him and Peavy, but I don't really care. Hoffman's blown games will stick out more than his other saves that also came in clutch situations because people will choose to remember that, just like some people who want to bash Rivera will point out 2001.

Plus, Coors Field is probably the worst place for him.

Good run Padres, but you guys choked. I don't care, if you can't win one of three games, you don't deserve to be in the playoffs. I hope you're happy with your "Competitive" team Moores.

Lets not go overboard here. That one play shouldn't change the fact it was a great game, and there's no doubt in my mind that the Rockies still would've won that game.

It doesn't change the fact that it was a great game, but to me that last play just puts a huge damper on the entire game.

That screwed up ending didn't play that huge of a factor. The Rockies would've won the way things were going for Hoffy boy.

                                Congrats to the Rockies!
