Wonder how he'll deal with Adam Dunn always clogging up those basepaths.

Man the initial reaction here is not very good. People are not happy with this hire.

Harrang and Arroyo better start icing their arms now, LOL

              He's terrible.

Here's to the pitchers who will be on the disabled list by the end of next season.

                Homer Bailey should be worried...

I don't like the hire at all. I think there were better candidates for the position. Whatever. I don't own the team. He makes the calls.

Thanks to whoever in the Reds oragnazation made this decision. Now I don't have to worry about Dayton Moore picking Dusty for the Royals job.

                    Nor the Pirates' job either.

Personally, I think the Cubs should ban him from entry to the park after ruining Wood and Prior... maybe Zambrano to a degree too.

Congrats Reds. As a Cubs fan, good luck with him. He is just awful, and I cant understand how a team thats in the same division couldnt see his bumbling nature.

I don't understand how he keeps getting jobs. MLB is pretty bad at hiring retreads.

I've seen him on Baseball Tonight and i've heard him on radio and TV broadcasts of games. The guy has no real baseball acumen. I don't know how the hell he had success in the first place. He really lucked out in San Fran all those years ago but ever since then he's coasted.

I have a feeling he's one of those guys that are really fun to hang out with but as a manager he's HORRID. BTW did the Reds even interview anyone else? It seems to me they targeted Baker and got him. Baker is all wrong for that team and you think his handling of pitchers is bad? Just wait and see him handling them at the GABP.
