It seems to me on the movies that this game has the pitching cursor showing where the pitcher is aiming. Does anyone know if we will be able to turn this off or if there is a "bluff" mode?

What i did notice is that there is an option. but in most the videos i think it would show for a second and then fade away right before you pitch.

I heard that you can turn it off. You just aim and the controller shakes if you get too far out of the strike zone, kind of like the other games that have pitch aim.

no, you guys are kinda off here.

The game never shows where the pitch is gonna go UNLESS the CPU/Player makes a mistake. I would watch the movies again and you'll notice that the little cursor doesn't always come up.

It's EA's way of helpin the player know when the CPU makes a mistake. EA believes that when a pitcher makes a mistake, the incomin pitch balloons up and the hitter notices it the second it happens.

I, for one, will agree to this. When you see a pitch come straight into the middle of the plate, the ball looks like a beachball. Even when the ball hits the dirt prematurely, you can see the spin of the ball just jump out at you. I think it was a great addition by EA.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
