Hey DK my VORP is bigger than yours...
Thing is I actually agree that Utley is a top candidate for next year and was this year too. If that's all the topic was about we'd be on the same page. But you were the one who brought up the last two seasons too.

However, I must disagree about your VORP (as snepp defined) being higher than mine. You would probably be in the Nick Punto area, while metrics put me around 178.2.

Your funny dude...And I only mentioned the last 2 MVP's because of the fact it would be 3 in a row for philly...I wasn't tryin to start a flame war of why J-Roll should/should not have won MVP. But I'm gonna defend my phillies tooth and nail...even if the numbers point elsewhere. Say what you want but I love my Phillies...w/ exception to Pat Burrell.

My VORP classification has been identified as Milton Bradley esque...volatile w/ flashes of greatness...

You had to go and mention Punto didn't you? I've been trying all offseason to forget about his historically awful season.

Oh, and take away your MS Paint and your VORP total isn't nearly as impressive.

Well obv. That's like saying take away his homeruns and A-Rod isn't that impressive.

Although I think mine would still be very high. Take away rickroll and it would drop quite a bit.

We need to come up with a formula.

Ah yes, rickroll, forgot about that. I recant my previous statement, your VORP would remain relatively impressive.

rickroll is a team dependent stat though. You're counting on other posters to fall for the rickroll in order to accumulate your stats. It's basically the same as RBI's.

It's hyperbole-filled statements like those that drive the anti-Rollins MVP crowd up the wall.

Arguing baseball with people that don't know baseball has been known to drive one into permanent insanity. I suggest you stop now unless you want to find yourself hanging upside down while humming Rick Astley melodies.
