carlos guillen is a 1st baseman now, so stop listing him.

Does this mean I can include Ozzie Smith in my list?

Re: Top 10 shortstops in MLB?

                  1. Hanley Ramirez (by far the best offensively, more than makes up for what he lacks defensively)
                  2. Derek Jeter (excellent at the plate with .388 career OBP, also a poor defender)
                  3. Jimmy Rollins (extremely durable, coming off a career year at the plate. Bad .331 career OBP)
                  4. Jose Reyes (couldn't find his swing last year, but still great defensively and on the bases. Equally bad OBP as Rollins, but less SLG.)
                  5. Troy Tulowitzki (incredible rookie season, best defensive SS since Ozzie.)
                  6. Edgar Renteria
                  7. Michael Young
                  8. Miguel Tejada
                  9. Jack Wilson
                  10. JJ Hardy

                  dis-honorable mention: David Eckstein

I would definitely say J-Roll is in the top 3. He has all the tools, and Jeter is on the downside of his career.

                        My top 3 would be

                        1. Hanley
                        2. Rollins
                        3. Reyes

No way should Michael Young be considered in the top 3 or 5 in the game. Wasn't he a 2nd baseman in his rookie year? All the rest IMO are interchangeable.

I dunno, over his last three seasons Jeter has OBPs of .389, .417, .388 and SLGs of .450, .483, .452. His career averages are .388 OBP and .462 SLG. He's definitely kept up the production levels at the plate, although it's possible he drops off soon. If Rollins can consistently put up the same numbers as last year he would move into second, but his OPS was 100 points higher than his career average so I would expect his numbers to go back into the .340 OBP .500 SLG range.

.790 OPS last season. Who would you put in? Khalil Greene's .290 on-base? Peralta?
