I still think the throwing meter is a waste. One poster said he rather have human controlled errors. But as I pointed out before, if it were truly human controlled errors. Then while learning the throwing meter you should commit at lease 5-10 errors. And the game is'nt gonna let you do so. So it will still IMO be a randomly generated thing.
All I'm saying is that the throwing meter is no different from the TPs that had aggressive and conservative throws. Thats all it is.

But, before you start flamin me, just know, I'm still getting the game. I too hope that EA has learned from its mistakes. But it has yet to be proven.

True, think that is is no different, but its a visable representation of the pressure you use when hitting the buttons, and in this case your holding it down, instead of a one time press.

From the clips that Ive seen, my only question is can you preload your throws. Other than that, the animations in conjuction with the meter looks pretty good. But only a personal hands on test will tell.

Yea you can preload your throws..In one of the Harold Reynolds videos he stated you can pick the base you want to throw 2 before the ball gets to you, so you will immediatedly throw to 2nd base before ur SS would get the ball to try to start that DP if ur were holding the Y button on Xbox controller

Exactly, we agree with you on that. And I like it that way! Actually I wish it was more like Triple Play's where the hard throw is either on or off. Having a meter seems to add unnecessary difficulty. But that may be an overstatement, I'll have to see how easy it is to use. A meter might give you, say, TEN different throwing speeds, and that would probably be overkill.

Not to make a big point, but I don't think Triple Play was the first game to have this feature. I can't think of specific games (Hardball maybe?) but I'm pretty sure it's been around for a while.
