xbox vs. ps2

Anybody know what the differences between xbox and ps2 versions of MVP are supposed to be?

Other than 480p and 5.1 sound, EA sports games don't seem to have any xbox extras. EA seems to develop for PS2 and port to Xbox.

As opposed to Sega who seem to have different graphics and (usually ) Live! support. So I am thinking that WSB will take better advantage of the xbox. I know they mentioned some xbox goodies in the interview thread.

Anybody know if xbox MVP is just a PS2 port?

the only difference will be the very slight crisper graphics on the xbox

FYI the colors on Madden for the ps2 look much better than xbox version. Of course this is because Madden was ported to xbox. But since this is a new game that is being developed simultaneously on both consoles there shouldn't be much of a difference. I'm getting the ps2 version just because I already have a sharkport, and the top buttons on the controller are better than the black and white buttons for sports games.

it will be better on the ps2...since EA always screws the xbox.

if you are an xbox gamer...never trust EA

Why do you think that is the case? Have you seen any screenshots that show a real difference?

Because I haven't seen any. And to the best of my knowledge there has yet to be an EA Sports game that has "significantly" better graphics on the Xbox than PS2.

I have both XBox and PS2 so I can get either one. That is what I am trying to decide. But my experience with EA Sports games has been that the PS2 versions are pretty much identical to the Xbox versions. Unlike Sega where there are real differences.

So I am leaning towards PS2 version of MVP because I like the controller a lot better.

My friend has Madden for PS2 and I have it for XBOX. It looks slightly better on xbox I don't care what anyone says. It would be stupid to put the extra time and effort into making the graphics take full advantage of each system thats why EA doesn't do it. If you want good graphics get a game like Fever that has good graphics but crappy gameplay.

                            GOATY,

tiger woods on XBOX is much better than PS2.....my brothers had their consoles over at xmas time & both had TW....there was a big difference in the two.....xbox had much cleaner/smoother looking gfx.

load times were MUCH faster too
Bummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.
