but maybe the greatest difference between the 2 is LOAD TIMES. The PS2 takes a lot longer to load games than the Xbox. nuff said

The resaon it's outselling the Xbox is because after a year the PS2 breaks, so instead of getting stuck w/ a ****load of games for a busted system, people just buy a new one.

I've had my ps2 since its release. No problems here.

The biggest adv. of xbox is the harddrive. Usually sports games take up a whole memory card for franchise mode, if you like many sports then you have to have a card for each one which is expensive.

I agree the harddrive is a big plus, but I don't mind load times and memory cards. I have 2 memory cards and still don't use both of them up with several sports games. Although, MVP might take up quite a bit.

I used to have the PS2 and the one big thing to me was using the Sharkport to download rosters, saves, etc, while XBox didn't have that. That was the ONE thing. Well, now that Action Replay is coming for XBox in like a week, that's the thing to me that makes XBox all that PS2 is, plus more.

I have had XBox for a year and the whole time I've been happy with the graphics, hard drive, XBox live, etc, but now that this add-on is coming, I have no reason whatsoever to want/need a PS2! XBox will never overtake PS2, no chance of that happening any more, but I think MS did great by gaining the #2 spot. Really sets up an interesting battle for 2005, PS3 vs. XBox2!

The ps2 has a the better controller for MVP baseball. The reason why is because when you pitch with the meter and your pitcher has more than 4-5 pitches availalbe, the xbox controller makes you use the little black button to use for that particular pitch. I think of that button as more of a select or option button rather than a pitching button (its just too small). I'd much rather use the L and R buttons on top of the dual shock controller

But that's just it, I am only wondering about MVP 2003. I am not picking on you but this thread has turned into "xbox vs. ps2" which is truly beating a dead horse.

EA Sports has historically developed for the PS2 and not added extra value for the Xbox. SInce MVP is a new engine I am wondering if MVP Baseball 2003 has any added content/features on Xbox that are not in the PS2 version.

That's all, I am not looking to discuss which is the better console. Just wondering which will be best for MVP Baseball 2003

Goaty that is simply not true. They may "develop" for the PS2, but they perfect the game on the XBOX. Have you never looked at the graphical differences between games like Madden and NCAA Football? The XBOX's graphics make the game look SO much better that you would think it was developed FIRST on the XBOX. Best way to think about it is that the graphics on the PS2 look like a PC game on 640X480 resolution. The XBOX looks like that same game at 1024X768, everything is less aliased, clearer, sharper, and much more lifelike and frankly if you dont see or notice this difference, you are either blind or a PS2 fanboy. The XBOX gets the better looking and MUCH smoother playing title so I havent bought a single PS2 EA Sports game since Nov. 16 2001 when I bought my XBOX.
