          I'll chime in here.

          Runner's way too slow.

Also too many flyballs or balls in the air all together. Maybe it was the player STEVE

It still looks fun if they fixed this. I have a suspicionthat they didn't. The game has been done for some time now so hopefully they made those changes. Doh.

I have a feeling the baserunning won't be fixed. Here is why. Why would EA Sports release a RECENT clip of the baserunning if it wasn't what they were completely done with? This clip was just released a few days ago. I could see if this clip was released a month ago when the game wasn't done. We could all say that this is only 85% beta and "they'll fix it". I just have a feeling that the clip we saw is a finished product. Andrew Jones getting thrown out at 2B by Sosa is a joke. I mean if you were trying to sell the game wouldn't you put out a clip of what you thought was something real good to sell the game.
EA must think that is realistic. I just can't believe that something like that gets past the programmers. Anyone with baseball sense knows that Andrew Jones doesn't get thrown out on that play. I'm so upset because I really wanted this game to be good. I have already preordered the game. I hope I'm wrong and the baserunning will be tweaked.

that's the thing I don't know if Steve captures these movies or if they are directly from EASports. If they are steve's then they are of the 85% beta. If they are EA Sports then it's time to be worried.

I disagree here. Anyone with baseball sense also knows that Sosa's arm is very strong, he played the ball quickly off the wall, planted and unloaded in a hurry. Jones is fast, but just because he has speed doesn't mean that he should beat that strong a throw from an arm that strong and already be eating a sandwich and doing crossword puzzles when the throw comes in.
I do agree, however, that if outfielders continually throw out runners going for singles, then that's a problem. Trying to stretch a hit into a double against someone with a pretty good, not the best, but pretty good arm is always risky.

This is why I think MVP 2003 will be more of an arcade baseball game than a simulation of the sport.
