"sniff" some love for my Blue Jays! Too bad no one had the guts to put them in the playoffs.
BTW anyone going to wake up early to watch the opening day game between the A's and BoSox?Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Countdown to Opening Day 2008!!!
April 1st (or thereabouts) is New Year's Day IMO. There's nothing better than seeing that 1-0 in the standings and calling it the start of the playoff push, or being 0-1 and just laughing because there's still another 161 games left.
But the one thing that I always love about opening day is going to the stadium for the first time, and just like when I was 3, seeing that field for the first time in six months, and the fleeting thought in the back of my mind that says I'll be doing this quite often until September (and hopefully October). No matter what age I am, the feeling always stays the same.
No matter how much I complain about our management, I'll always be overly optimistic on opening day.Blue Jays, Blackhawks, AuburnComment

Re: Countdown to Opening Day 2008!!!
I'm really hoping I can have a fun-watching season. I can't fathom watching a Bonds-less Giants season if we're going to have a < .400 winning percentage. I know the Braves are going to be competitors, so as long as they'll still have some games on TBS, I can still be somewhat happy. And then, of course, I'll get a good 80 Red Sox games on ESPN.
Here's to hoping this will be a good year of baseball. Re: Countdown to Opening Day 2008!!!
I think this is stupid, so the A's are starting their season tonight and then come back home and play the Giants to wrap up spring training. What the hell! Wow, that is stupid. How do you get ready for today's game and then come back and play 3 meaningless games?Comment
