Re: Batting:Cursor C/P swings Vs Cursor w/Power Meter

From my limited experience with using the Power Meter (2 full exhibition games), I saw that it fills up faster while doing a contact swing, but doesn't go up to 100% -- more like up to 70% or something close to this. I gotta see more of this to be sure of this estimation.

Meanwhile, it does go up to 100% using the power swing. However, the meter fills up slower with this swing, meaning you'll have to hold the button down a tad sooner in order to be able to put the bat on the ball.

    Great feature.

Kruza, if that is true, that would be an awesome feature. I have gotten a few 98% swings off though using the contact button on a metered swing. No homeruns as of yet though, just a few warning track flies......and I seem to consistently run about 75%. I will give the power button option a try and see if I notice any difference as well. Let me know if you find out anything else.

krispykeith, you're right. After playing a few more games, I've found the power meter to go up as high as close to 110%, which I believe is the maximum percentage. And this applies to both power and contact swings. My timing was really off before, but it has gotten better with more experience. So far, I have hit a few homers and sky-high pop ups with well-hit power swings (90% or greater), and only low-trajectory line drives with well-hit contact swings.

At any rate, I've gotten so spoiled by this feature that I can't see myself go back to hitting with the regular cursor again. Great feature.

This feature has brought me back to WSB. I have gotten the meter to 110% using the contact swing. Has anybody used the power meter and hit a homer with the contact button? It seems that it shouldn't matter which button to press and FP did say either X or O. They fill up different though, so maybe it does matter.

                I'm confused. Great feature, though.
