Snate, I hope you are honest about this because I have asked about the stealing bases issue in different forums and most people do not think it is too easy to steal bases. I am wondering if maybe this is not an issue and certain people are just making up crap to bitch about. I am going to rent the game and test this thoroughly.

This is regarding the base stealing issue.

At first, I didn't see any problem. I played through about 5 games, never noticed any problems with stealing bases 'at will'.

But since I have read the posts, things have gone a little sour. I, again, use the Orioles, so speed is there in some players, but completely absent in others. I played 3 games to test, and in all 3 games whenever I reached first I stole on the very next pitch. These 3 games were against the Yankees, Marlins (with Pudge nonetheless), and the Braves. I went 26 of 28, with the 2 caught stealing coming on horrible jumps by myself. I tried using the X button at times, and the directional pad at others. Segui was taking bases, Gil ever had 2 steals. Is there something we are missing FP? Is it possible one of the sliders is having an alterior effect on the catcher throw animation/speed? You said you make about 60% of your steals on All-Star. How do you get thrown out? Which stealing technique do you use also? When do you leave the bag?

I hate to ask you a question that I knwo you have probably been bombarded with lately, but is there any way you can help those of use that can't seem to get thrown out?

I've posted this at least twice, but here goes again:

If you go to the fastest pitch speed option, you cannot, and will not steal at will. All but the real basestealers in the league will get gunned, pretty regularly.

In fact, in a game I just finished, the CPU pitched out (well, it was a hard, high fastball way outside) and nailed Tony Womack by open lengths.

                  FatPitcher,

The only grip I'm having right now is why are the Instant Replays almost non-existant?

I simply love Nfl 2K3 just for the various camera angles & incredible insatnt replays.

Why waas'nt this same type of instant replay engine used in WSb2K3?
All of the replays are towards the end of the play & you can not save them either.

Also a slide button should have been implemented when running towards bases.

If you ever get to talk to the actual developers of NFL 2K3 can you tell them that they have made the best game ever on the market.

WSB2K3 is good but is missing many gameplay sublte features that are present in NFL2K3.

Yes they are different types of games , but maybe things like sliding , dirty uniforms, bases being moved , arguing with umps , I mean many little things could have been done that I am just not seeing right now.

All-n-all it is a good game & if possible can you answer some of my questions & comment on my comments

                  thankyou

No, that's the thing. I haven't changed anything in my game at all. I just can't seem to get out stealing second. Maybe I just didn't notice it before, but I could have sworn Segui and Batista were getting thrown out, but now I can steal with them easily (on fastballs, mind you).

I am trying a few things that will hopefully work, and testing some more to see if there is a real problem or if paranoia is setting in on me.
