Beltran only got tossed after the manager did

And apparently Runge before the game last night apologized to Manuel about the incident
I'm not sure what you're basically trying to say.

just trying to say what took place, and then last night that the ump said he was sorry to the manager for what happened

But he should still get some sort of suspension - you bump an ump, it's an almost automatic suspension.. where does this guy get off doing the same thing to Manuel?

I think you missed his little joke. You used "basically" three times in one short paragraph.

Also, there's no way he's going to get off after bumping a manager. It's not going to be a month's suspension like this thread's creator wanted, though.

I misinterpreted ESPN's video... in it, it looked like he was thrown... but it might have just been a strike call.

Runge is suspended one game. He got off easy.

are you kidding me? I guess MLB likes to have umps do this stuff.. What a joke.. Let's see if a player or manager gets the same if they bump an umpire..

                One game? What a joke...

I'd expect at least a week. Just goes to show that MLB is weak when it comes to union affairs with both the players and umpires.

And I agree that 1 game is way too light. I was thinking 3 or 4 games.

Calling the one game suspension a joke is spot on.
