That is a good point. Up until you posted that I had been thinking only from the "perspective" of the user.

If this also applies to the CPU being able to steal every base at wiil, there could be problems. And if that is the case, one would only hope that the players are "programmed" properly so that fast guys steal, and bigger/slower guys don't.

Good point, hopefully someone can post back with their findings in relation to CPU stealing and whether they do it at will also, or if only fast guys are generally stealing against them.

I am not eve sure this is a issue at all. It could be something about nothing at all. Way too many contradictions to draw any conclusions now.

I agree it seems to be a bit easier than it should, but since I've moved up to the faster pitch speeds, I do get thrown out on occasion. And I never try to steal with guys like Thome and Burrell anyway. And leading off is tough! I've gotten picked off a few times so now I'm a little gun-shy.

only run when neccessary or proper player but only caught once in about 11 attempts....i think if you do it a lot they catch you.

I was wondering what your guys game options are on?? pitching speed, and what level? rook, pro, allstar, legend?? cause i know for sure the pitching speed does not make a difference on base stealing cause ive been caught stealing on medium pitch speed...but let me know your guys game options and pitch speed

Don't do that. Leave it at normal. Every time I punch the left trigger the pitcher throws over. I'm getting thrown out with R. Vasquez stealing. I have tested it and guys like D. Young, C. Pena, T. Zeille thrown out by country miles.

If it's really a problem then play the game like it's supposed to be played. Nobody would send R. Palmero 4 times. If you think it's a bug, don't cheat the CPU.

I guess you could sit there and send every runner to test it, but why not play the game like it's supposed to be. I'm doing it and having a blast. I'm not going to send Wiki Gonzalez everytime he gets on base. (Matter of fact I'm not even playing him)

hey Jim , majority of the time you lead off pressing the L trigger once then you will steal second, and not once ive been piced off at first when only tapping it once. but when i tap L twice then yes i have been picked off at first. But from now im not going to lead more than normal because soemtiems i get thrown out at second and sometimes i make it on normal leading off. but tell me what others have done to fix the stealing issue? is it in game options (legend, allstar, pro)?? i know its not in the pitching speed because i have tried all medium, fast, and very fast and all the same.

joker, I don't know. I have tested it and I don't see it. One guy said that he NEVER gets thrown out an it's a HUGE flaw in the game. All I can tell you is that I only take a normal lead. I use some restraint. If I saw this bug (and I haven't) I would fix the problem by NOT sending every runner you get on base. My gosh, how much fun can it be when you run EVERY batter because you can? I use the steal like I would in real baseball. I would never send Mo Vaugh, but it appears some people send him, Piazza, Russ Johnson and every other tank on the team and seem to get away with it.

I have been playing and sending my runners as the situation dictates. I have been thrown out 4 out of 5 times in my last three games using the normal lead off. That' really all I can offer. Hope it helps. This is a swell game and this does not have to be an issue, in my opinion.

It is interesting that mostly the new posters are having this problem. I would not be surprised at all if some of these posters worked for EA SPORTS. WAy too much contradiction.
