Crowe's batting .325 w/ 4 HR, 43 R, 26 RBI, and 9 SB through half as many games as LaPorta. He isn't the same kind of player as LaPorta, so he isn't going to have the same power numbers, but he's probably the best performing OF we have between Akron & Buffalo right now.

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
Yeah Crow is tearing it up right now, but this is first time he has hit like this in his career. If it lasts then great. I just don't see it. I remember last year he was horrible in Akron. Struggled to hit over .200.Comment

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
He hit .259 in Akron last year, which isn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but its well over .200. The one thing that does worry me about him, though, is that he can't stay healthy for a whole year and basically hasn't since we drafted himComment

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
Thats true about the health. .259 is ok, but I was at some games last year where I remember he was hitting like .210 at the time. Don't get me wrong I hope he turns out to be a great player someday for the Indians.Comment

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
Oh I know, I'm not trying to shut you down or anything, I would just like to see him do good...or at least get good enough to trade him for something good if there is a log-jam at OF in the majorsComment

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
Once again the ****ing Cubs sit on their hands. And please don't give me this, "the Cubs don't have anything to give" crap. If Sabathia can go for a AA stud and two other minor leaguers, the Cubs could've pulled this off.
But nope. Jim Hendry is a POS. We'll probably get Gil Meche, or better yet, we'll get Steak Fajitas, er, I mean, Steve Trachsel back.....YAY!!!!!!! Steve can then yell at some of his teammates to turn off the TV after HE gets pummelled with his 81 mph fastball.
This organization sucks. I guarantee any money, if the Cubs happen to blow this, everyone will look back at this trade that they should've made.
****ing losers. I'm pissed.Comment

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
I heard this morning that we got Taylor Green in this deal as well, he's a lefty 3rd basemen. Looked up his numbers, and he makes Andy Marte look like Babe Ruth.Comment

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
Agreed. Weak sauce farm system indeed. Best prospect to come out of their farm system was Pie and that man is amazing??Comment

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
EG, Taylor Green, if traded to the Indians is a 2nd baseman, which is why he would be the PTBNL. They want to see how he is at 2nd base. His bat over at 2nd would, as I believe Keith Law said, is Mike Lowell-esqe.Too Old To Game Club

Re: SABATHIA TO BREWERS!!
Yeah, Green would be a decent addition to the trade. It can't hurt to have a(nother) good prospect at 2B in the system.Comment
