Jeez. That was amazing. Hamilton should just sit this round.. not for himself, but for his pitcher!

ESPN should put one of those disclaimers stating that the combination of Berman, Morgan and Rick Reilly could do irreparable damage to your intelligence....

Everyone should be able to figure that out on their own.

Hamilton might have to make a call to the bullpen, that old man's arm is in danger of falling off.

That Hamilton show was a thing of beauty. I still want to know for certain who the Reds players were that whined about all the attention Hamilton was getting last year. *** Big Donkey and Junior, I'm looking in your direction ***

Everyone that was in the HR derby in 2007, except for Morneau who I posted above. These are all according to the baseball-reference.com splits, first half/second half.

Look, I'm, and really no one is claiming that being in the home run derby=awful 2nd half.

Some people might not be affected at all, some might go through a short slump, some might struggle for awhile. No one will ever prove that being in the home run derby has a specific effect on players stats because it doesn't.

But baseball swings are complicated, one little flaw, or bad habit can be the difference between going on a tear or going in a huge slump.

And it doesn't take much to create a bad habit. Playing through an injury can do it. I've heard guys talk about facing a knuckleballer one day messes up their swing. So certainly a day of doing nothing but trying to hit the ball as far as you possibly can could do it too.

Even if you don't believe that, I don't know how anyone who has been around baseball players at any type of high level, or even heard baseball players talk about hitting, would think that it's impossible that a player could think that doing the homerun derby could mess up their swing.

Hamilton should be getting a nice raise next season, he'll be able to buy the man a new arm.

That's one of the things that actually makes me happy I have horrible hearing.

I have the volume to the point where I can't understand a word any of them say, but I can still hear every time they, or the crowd, gets excited.

I love this performance that Hamilton put on, but man, I'm dreading sports talk radio around here... He's a local kid, and especially on 99.9 The Fan, tomorrow will be a Josh Hamilton slob-fest, especially the dudes on the afternoon show...

Almost as wonderful as Hamilton's story is that of his pitcher... Good for the old rascal to have something like this happen to him at this age.

Man, no joke. Does he have to mention heroine and cocaine every time he says anything about Hamilton? "It's not a good night to be an atheist." What?!? I'm reaching for my mute button right about now.
