Arod and Manny bailed after they were taking out of the game

Boomer and Cart were talking about A rod this morning. Apparently he showered, changed into a suit and tie, and left. They didn't talk about Manny but I'm almost positive he wasn't in the dugout after he got yanked.

I'm pretty sure that's the norm, a lot of guys have done it over the years.

That's what I thought. It would have been nice if he stayed though. He's the best player and he is playing in the last All Star game in his home park.

Why did he need to stay? He was done playing right?

I know that this is a common practice amongst all stars today but I don't agree with it. This is a great example of what's wrong with professional sports today......."it's all about me and screw the whole team concept."

I would leave too. He really couldn't do anything for the game anymore. Plus he would get to beat the traffic.

Like it comes as any surprise to anyone that A-Rod is a self-centered douche.

However, I will say that if I had a real life reenactment of the "Justify My Love" video waiting for me, I probably would have left too.

I wouldn't leave a game I was playing in just because I love the game whether I'm in it, have been in it, or am just watching it as a fan. This is the kind of thing where it gets you a little down to know that these guys really don't love the game, they're just really good at it...
