I went from WSBfanatic's slider settings to stilts1844's slider settings (based off of Fanatic's) and I must say, I enjoy stilts much better. Of course, the way I play my game may differ from Fanatics or stilts (or even both).

What consoles are you guys using? Maybe a difference in console version will slightly alter everything. I'm thoroughly enjoying stilts sliders on the XBox.

I threw only 81 pitches total. Pete Walker was my starter and went seven. I struck out 4 in the game.

So, a pretty easy time on the mound, but the Royals are probalby one of the worst hitting teams...

I will keep trying these sliders, but there's one thing I really love here...HVP.

With HVP I feel like pitching is much more interesting. While I shutout the Royals in the first game, I felt like I couldn't pinpoint every pitch. In my opinion, this makes the game a bit more realistic.

wow, only 81 total? maybe its just our differences in pitching styles, ive always had over 100 a game. or like you said, maybe its the suckiness of the royals. keep me posted if you play another game

I don't know about you guys, but it seems that pitch count is the biggest issue here. I'd say that keeping the CPU BE(B) slider at 90 was good because it drew more walks which increases pitch count. If anything I'd lower it to 85 and that's it.

Also, you need to "fear" the CPU hitting. In other words, you need to have it set where if you pitch it down the middle the CPU hitter will make you pay for it almost all the time. All the time with Bonds or Sosa. I like the suggestion of CPU BA at 40, but lowering the CPU BE(S) too much will not be good. It needs to be set to where if you throw it down the middle they will swing at it often. I liked CPU BA at 37 because it was a good mix with BE(S) at 85, but they do swing at every K. I'm for lowering it, but at the same time I don't want to get a lot of Ks per game which I WAS getting with BE(S) at 80.

So CPU BA will be at 37 for me with BE(B) at 90. The CPU BE(S) is the only variable left to find.

What's all you're opinion?

hey WSB, look at a couple of my posts, i show all my pitch counts and K's, etc. lowering the BE(S) to 55, i have not gotten over 5 K's with my starter as of yet, and I'm playing with the Yanks. Latest Box score: NYY 8 12 0 ANA 1 6 0. i had 121 pitches total, 9 K's 2 BB between 3 pitchers. for them, 120 pitches total, 6 K's 4 BB.
