"Redbird who ever said timing the meter right would let ANYONE throw the perfect pitch? That would be idiotic."
I guess I just assumed that by reading the previews. I did read that if you didn't time the pitch right that the pitch would be a dead bird with some sort of a graphical warning that it was a bad pitch that if timed right with the hitting cursor you could nail it. So is it the opposite then 9if you dont button mash correctly you will throw a hanging curve ball or groove one down the middle?
"I can only compare it to Home Run King since I haven't played MVP, but the only thing the meter does is to allow the pitcher to maximize his POTENTIAL, and that factors in fatigue and playing ability. So if a guy can throw 92mph tops while fresh, there's no way he'll throw that fast late in the game even if you time the meter perfectly. Same goes for accuracy I'd assume."
That is good that the pitcher has fatigue but that isnt a new innovation.
"If you can't even grasp the THEORY behind how it might be a good idea then you owe it to yourself to at least give it a try."
I can grasp how the idea might be good.
"This "no meters" philosophy is effectively a decree for "no skill"."
What skill? Button mashing/releasing? I have never seen meters in the MLB.
"All you want is tactics (which corner to pitch to, which base to throw to). According to that philosophy you should have auto fielding turned on. Do you? Probably not."
Actually tactics and simulation that doesnt feature my skill over the players skill. Auto fielding? You found me out

I would like to give it a try but out here in the sticks I cant run out and rent the game. Remember I live in AR now! City boy moved to the country. I live in one of the biggest towns around and has a population of 600+!
