Ya know with all the Injuries Griffey has been getting lately I wonder if he's thinking of lobbying the Reds to trade him to an AL ballclub that needs a DH. Let's face it the man is a liability to his health nowadays. Besides look at Edgar Martinez who used to play in the field (1st base I think) and he turned out to be a great DH.

The time may be ripe for Junior to be a DH.

Ya it may be time for junior to become a full time DH. Kinda sad cause he had such a promising future when he was with the Mariners. No one in Griffey's age should be forced to be a DH, that a jod for 40 year olds with no knees left. I hope the shoulder is not seriously injured and Griffey can get back to playing this year

Ken Griffey Jr. isn't done! It's stupid to say he won't be the same as he was back in Seatle. He's still young,33, and these are his prime years. Unfortunately he's spending them on the DL. Anyways he is great in the outfield so no need to move him to the DH position. Just trade him to NY Yanks in exchange for Raul Mondesi.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
                  - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

I was hoping he'd have a good season. He deserves to be healthy one of these years.

It's not about age, its about being injury-prone. At least in the AL he could play everyday, most days in the field, the rest as a DH. (I don't like the DH rule, personally) In the NL, the only way to get rest is to take days off. But, I guess if you're going to be hurt, at least its the first week rather than the homestretch.

maybe my cousin will be right. Jim Thome will hit more homeruns than games griffey will play in.
