I think the Andruw syndrome (pull anything thrown w/in 5 miles) is happening to Francouer as well...It's sad

But Francoeur is trying to change unlike Andruw. Chipper has hit with Francoeur this off-season and says Francoeur has a new stance and his seeing the ball better and swinging at better pitches and ripping the ball gap to gap. Chipper said that if what Francoeur is doing right now carries into the games that he will be hitting cleanup this year. Chipper doesn't give out compliments like that lighty.

i'm not sure how much stock you can put into a few minutes of video in a batting cage. heck, give me 2 weeks and i could look promising in a batting cage with a guy throwing 70 mile an hour fastballs to me over and over again.

i'd love to see andruw at spring training though. no contract or anything (if that's possible), just invite him and give him a shot to make the team.

If there's anyone Franky needs to listen to it's Chipper. In any event, Andruw needs to lose weight, first off, and get into phenomenal shape. I'm sure he hasn't lost his instincts for the ball (even though his age might affect his jumps) but if all of those ifs happen, I'd take another risk.

Like I said I'm not against giving Andruw a look in spring training but I'm not getting my hopes up because I have no reason too.

Yea I like andruw too, its a shame he didnt take care of himself. But at least give him a spring training look. I still think the mariners would be a good fit for him with the new skipper being there but its just me. I truly think WakeUNC hit it right on the head though. If he doesnt even come to ST in great shape, I would fire his @ss immediatley.
